Archy (Japanese: ウインぴょん Winpyon), known as Arckee in Chuang Yi's translations, is an Arcanine owned by Crystal in the Pokémon Adventures manga.

History

Archy was first caught at Mt. Mortar when Crystal was training to become a capture pro. It is there where Archy was first seen as a wild Pokémon out of control. It was enraged by an eye injury and went on a rampage. Due to this, Crystal fell and broke her arms. Later when she awoke wild Pokémon helped make splints for her. She then saw it again and noticed its eye, and had Parasee that helped nurse her arms nurse its eye back to health. Noticing that it was not naturally aggressive, Crystal decided to add it to her team. While this incident is behind him and Crys' other Pokémon trust him even though he badly beat them up, he still has bad eyesight from the right side. Since then it had proved to be a strong battler though it mainly was used for land transportation. However, when Crystal went back to Mt. Mortar to retrieve her lost skills the initial culprit was revealed to be a Larvitar, who exploited Archy's eyesight to defeat it even though it was far stronger than Larvitar.
