Trivia

  • When Cresselia is encountered, the music is the same as an ordinary Wild Pokémon. This is presumed to be to try and catch the player off guard.
  • Cresselia can be seen as an opposite of Darkrai, as Darkrai causes nightmares, where Cresselia prevents them. Also, their islands are shaped opposite of each other.

Cresselia is based after a swan.

Name origin

Its name is derived from crescent, refering to a phase of the moon.
