- Aloe's Yorterry is revealed to have evolved into a Haderia.
- Ash battles Aloe again and manages to defeat her, earning the Basic Badge.

- This episode can be related with Just One of the Geysers, in which Ash battled Brawly: Brawly and Aloe were the second gym leaders Ash faced in Hoenn & Unova respectively, Ash lost to them in an official battle and beat them in his second attempt, they both appeared in three episodes, and in the rematch, Ash battled a Pokémon of theirs that evolved prior to the rematch.
