Paka and Uji (Japanese: パカ Paka and ウージ Ūji) are characters in the Pokémon Adventures manga. The pair work as bodyguards, and are the bodyguards that were intended to accompany Platinum on her journey. However, due to Berlitz assuming Diamond and Pearl were her bodyguards, these two were left behind.

Debut	VS. Croagunk & Abra I

Buizel is a Pokémon who belongs to Uji. It attacked Diamond and Pearl at the Lost Tower for kidnapping Platinum. Afterwards, it went up against Team Galactic's Croagunk and was defeated.

Buizel's known moves are SonicBoom, Razor Wind, Water Gun, Dig, Swift and Sandstorm*.

Burmy

Debut	VS. Croagunk & Abra I

Paka's Burmy first appeared in its Plant form. It attacked Diamond and Pearl at the Lost Tower for kidnapping Platinum. Afterwards, it went up against Team Galactic's Abra and lost.

Burmy's known moves are Hidden Power and Tackle.

Trivia

• Due to Coronis's translation of the mangas, Paka and Uji are also popularly respectively known as Phool and Ignor in the fan community, as Coronis is fond of inventing Western names for manga-only characters who lack dub names.
• Paka and Uji's names are a pun on the word "idiot"; similarly Coronis's names Phool and Ignor are puns on the words "fool" and "ignorant" respectively. Ironically, they are shown to be clever Trainers.
