(Japanese: カベルネ Cabernet) is a C-class Pokémon Connoisseurer.
History
Cabernet is first seen in A Connoisseurer's Revenge! working in a lavish Poké Mart that lies somewhere between Pinwheel Forest and Skyarrow Bridge. She called Ash over, who was waiting in a long line to see a Connoisseurer, to visit her shop instead. He accepted this offer and she immediately pulled him inside her stall and took an interest in Pikachu, a rare Pokémon in Unova. She was then asked to diagnose Sewaddle and decided that, because of its Ability, it was a poor Pokémon for Ash's team. She then demanded to see the rest of his party, finding something wrong with each of them. Her actions and diagnostics towards the Pokémon caused each and every one of them to attack her. Furious, she exclaims that Ash is not compatible with any of his Pokémon and demands that he replace them immediately.
Suddenly, Cilan and Iris interrupt the session after losing track of where Ash had gone. Cabernet screams and points at Cilan; recognizing him, and he recognizes her. Cilan then explains that she challenged him at the Striaton Gym a while back and managed to defeat her Oshawott with his Pansage. Cabernet explains that his diagnostic of her Oshawott had motivated her to want revenge against him, even to go as far as to study on how to become a Pokémon Connoisseurer so she could out do him. When she felt she was ready, she went back to Striaton City, completely motivated to re-challenge Cilan. However Chili and Cress explained to her that Cilan had left to travel, crushing Cabernet's spirit. Left with not much choice, Cabernet battled Chili and won the Trio Badge.
Cabernet challenges Cilan to a two-on-two Pokémon battle and uses her Dewott and Sawsbuck. Before the match started, she makes Cilan promise that he will accept her diagnosis that Ash is incompatible with all of his Pokémon and that he will have to let her replace all of them. Cilan agrees to this much to Ash's dislike. Both Dewott and Sawsbuck were easily defeated by Cilan's Dwebble and Pansage, respectively. In the end, Cabernet decides to leave the Poké Mart to travel on her own. She vows that the next time she and Cilan meet that she will defeat him.
Cabernet is set to reappear in BW041.

Cabernet obtained Dewott when it was just an Oshawott. It lost to Cilan's Pansage in a gym battle a long time ago. She later uses Dewott to battle Cilan once more, only this time it battles with his Dwebble. It had good offensive attacks but could not break through Dwebble's strong defense. It quickly became fatigued, and Dwebble defeated it with a Shell Smash and X-Scissor combo.
Dewott's known moves are Water Gun, Fury Cutter, Water Pulse and Razor Shell.

Sawsbuck is what Cabernet refers to as her "vintage". She used it to battle Cilan's Pansage but it was overwhelmed by Pansage's speed combined with repeated hits with Bullet Seed, and finally knocked out by a powerful SolarBeam.
Sawsbuck's known moves are Horn Leech, Jump Kick and Megahorn.
Badges obtained
This listing is of the badges Cabernet has obtained:
- Trio Badge (after Dreams by the Yard Full! and prior to A Connoisseurer's Revenge!)
Trivia
- Cabernet's name comes from Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape most commonly used to make red wine. Her name may be a reference to real-life sommeliers who work with wine.
- Cabernet's Connoisseur catchphrase is "Bonjour! Tasting time s'il vous plaît!"
