A cracked tile is a tile introduced in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. They are found exclusively in Sky Pillar, Mirage Tower, and Granite Cave. The player cannot simply walk on a cracked tile because they are too fragile to hold any weight. The only way to cross a cracked tile is to ride the Mach Bike at top speed, with a certain amount of momentum as well. If the player slows down or crashes into an object, the tile will give way and they will fall through to the floor below. Cracked tiles can only be passed over once, because they still break even if the player passes them. Exiting the room causes cracked tiles to respawn.
