Eruption (Japanese: ふんか Eruption) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. It is a variation of Water Spout and can be considered the inverse of Reversal and Flail.
Effect
Eruption does damage proportionately based on the user's HP. This move's base power reduces as the user's HP reduces and is calculated by the formula:
Hence, at maximum power (100% HP), the move's base power would be 150.
In a double battle, Eruption will hit both opponents. In a triple battle, Eruption will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

Trivia
- Groudon is the only non-Template:Type2 Pokémon who can learn this move.
- However, all Pokémon that do learn it have something to do with volcanoes and are mostly or partially red.
- Eruption and Heat Crash are the only Fire-type attack moves which do not have a fixed base power.
