Alamos Town (Japanese: アラモスタウン Alamos Town) is an anime-exclusive town in Sinnoh that was featured in the movie The Rise of Darkrai. The town's centerpiece is the Space-Time Tower. The town also had a Contest, which Dawn participated in, and lost. The town is the home of Darkrai and it was nearly destroyed while Dialga and Palkia were fighting. There is a garden near the water in where many Pokémon play, and was also where Alicia first met Darkrai, after defending himself from a Roserade, a Kirlia, and a Luxray.
Alamos Town has two brief reappearances in Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Sheena and Kevin were present at its plateau when Palkia returned the town to its proper dimension. Later on, during the credits of the movie, a brief update on Tonio, Alice and Baron Alberto is shown.
Location in Sinnoh
Alamos Town appears to be located northwest of Oreburgh City and northeast of Jubilife City. The main part of the city is on top of a large mesa in the middle of a lake. There is a bridge connecting the mesa to the mainland.
According to maps of Sinnoh, the area around Alamos Town is heavily wooded with many hills and plateaus. According to a map of the anime, it is located near the Ravaged Path.
Many Pidgey and Rattata can be seen roaming here, as well as some Purugly.

- The Darkrai handed out at the Toys "R" Us distribution, as well as the ones distributed in Europe, had the OT "ALAMOS", a reference to the tenth movie's location, Alamos Town.
- Alamos Town is the third movie-made city based on a real city outside Japan.
- The only Shellos that appear in the movie are of the East Sea variety, although Alamos Town is actually on the west side of Mt. Coronet.
- The town's name is derived from the Spanish word for poplar.
Origin
Alamos Town is based on Barcelona, Spain.
The Space-Time Tower located in Alamos Town is based on the Sagrada Família cathedral in Barcelona. Similarily, the Pokémon garden in Alamos Town is based on Parc Güell in Barcelona. Both the park and the cathedral in Barcelona were designed by Antoni Gaudí, just as the Space-Time Tower and the garden in Alamos Town were designed by Godey, who along with his descendant Tonio was based on the Spanish Catalan architect.
