N's Pokémon

N's Pokémon (Japanese: Nのポケットモンスター N's Pocket Monsters) are Pokémon in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 that were previously owned by the Pokémon Trainer N.

In the games

N's Pokémon

N's Pokémon are obtainable via Memory Link, with the exception of N's Zorua, whom is obtainable through the main story by defeating Rood and obtaining it from him. Once Memory Link is used, the player can see a flashback of N releasing his Pokémon with a Team Plasma grunt prior to the events of N's Castle in Pokémon Black and White in Chargestone Cave.

Upon encountering one of N's Pokémon, the game will notify the player that the Pokémon has been previously owned by a powerful trainer (N) and will also show a sprite entry animation that is similar to the Shiny Pokémon sprite, but instead has its own sound and the Pokémon is surrounded by green and yellow diamond lights. Once captured, the Pokémon will have its own Trainer ID. N's Trainer ID for these Pokémon is 00002. Some of these Pokémon are caught in the same location.

• All of N's Pokémon have balanced IV stats of 30.
  • If the Pokémon are taught Hidden Power, then it will always result in a Fighting-type move with a base power of 70.
• Some of N's Pokémon contradict themselves from Black and White.
  • Purrloin has the ability Limber instead of Unburden.
  • Timburr has the ability Guts instead of Sheer Force.
  • Sandile has the ability Intimidate instead of Moxie.
  • Sigilyph has the ability Wonder Skin instead of Magic Guard.
  • N had never used the Pokémon he had in his childhood for battle, which are Woobat, Darmanitan, and Zorua.
• N's Pokémon have no chance of being a Shiny Pokémon without cheating.
• N's Pokémon cannot be nicknamed unless the player has the exact same Trainer ID (and Secret ID) of N himself.
• N's Darmanitan is the only Pokémon that has an ability: Zen Mode.
