Ok...
Zesty, can you help settle an argument? This user keeps adding the dates that are listed on the Viz's website for the List of Pokémon Adventures volumes. The problem here is that none of these dates are officially revealed and are just sitting on the site's data. For all we know, the dates aren't officially confirmed and Viz may or may not be releasing them. The fact that volume 15 is listed for an October release date pretty much confirms that. I say we just wait until they're officially revealed before adding anything. Ataro 17:23, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for bringing this to my attention (i agree with you), please see my response on the article's talk page. --ZestyCactus 21:15, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Manga Summary Question
New user here with a quick question. I'm going to try and cough up some short summaries for various rounds of the RS arc of PokeSpe and was wondering whether characters should be called by their in-game name or the Chuang Yi name in said summaries. The convention already in place on the rounds pages is the Chuang Yi (example) but the rest of the site uses the game names. I just wanted to know which to use before I slap a bunch of text all over the place--don't want to have to spend ages re-editing my edits, haha. Thanks! --Ganamex (talk) 16:29, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hey! I would prefer the Chuang Yi names when applicable, please. :) Maybe link to the in-game character's page if one exists, but stick with the CY names for the summaries. Thanks!! --ZestyCactus 21:29, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Projects Merchandise and Manga question
I posted this two weeks ago to the talk pages on both projects but didn't get a response at either one, so hoped you might be able to give me one. If I'm bugging, just let me know.
First, I'm able to scan covers for all 16 English monthly issues of the Electric Tale of Pikachu... but I wasn't sure which resolution would be best for them. I also have second edition versions of the first four issues and a special mini issue of number 3 packaged as a promotion with a gaming magazine. What's a good size for that sort of scan, and should I replace the grainy stock photos?
Secondly, I saw you made a comment saying that you want to catalogue all of the North American DVD and VHS releases. I can provide scans and the info for 80+ of the DVDs, but there's no template to work with. I also have about 10 or so of the Indigo League tapes and volume 4 of the UK's R2 Chronicles release. If someone can cobble a template to work with, I'd happily get cracking on the pages. Triltaison 07:17, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Triltaison
- Omg if you could scan those Electric Tale of Pikachu issue covers that would be badass!! (since i only own the first four, lol) I'm not too picky about resolution really, as long as it looks good but isn't too huge it should be fine (pls use .png format) do the second editions look different? and oh i have one of those promos too... maybe don't scan it if it has the same picture on it, but um i have one too from a DVD so i will check it and get back to you on if i think it's "different" enough to scan xD it's definitely worth a mention on the respective page!!
- And i'm glad to see you share my dream of cataloguing all the VHS/DVD/BD releases, but what you told me is the exact reason why i haven't started yet (except Pokémon All-Stars and Pokémon Elements)..... it's so daunting, and i have no idea how to organise it! actually, let me know what you think: should they be organised by region, format, or season, or a mix of all three? tell me what your ideas are and i will make you a beautiful table/page(s) that we can work on together :D --ZestyCactus 03:44, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- Also you can replace some of the existing ones that are kind of ugly (re: surf's up pikachu #1 et al) those really ugly ones are actually photos that somebody took and uploaded in 2005 at Bulbapedia's beginnings, but I didn't have any other images for those issues since I don't own them myself so I kept them for now as placeholders. ^^' --ZestyCactus 03:48, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, "daunting" isn't even strong enough a word. ^^;
- I think the best thing to do would be to have a sort of listing like the manga page, only separated by regions instead of the type of manga (original, anime adaptation, or whatever). Then under the regional headings they'd be grouped by seasons. Since Japan groups Indigo through Masterquest as one series, then the Advanced arc, followed by DP, and then BW, they should be grouped like that for the Japanese DVDs (when we get entries for them). The rest of the world follows the US season divisions, so divide 'em up like that for them. Then have the season link go to a listing of all DVDs available for that season with a page for each volume. For boxsets, do a page for each disc (because each one has different art) while specifying if it's a part of a larger set or available for individual purchase. Perhaps give VHS the same treatment, with a note on each page linking to the DVD release (and the DVD to the VHS) since I think they were the exact same release on different formats. Not sure if it worked that way in other regions, but my Fashion Victims VHS and DVD are exactly the same anyway.
- Does that make sense? Triltaison 05:47, 5 March 2012 (UTC)Triltaison
- Forgot about the other questions, whoops. The only difference about the second editions is that (for at least EoT and Pikachu Shocks Back) each four issue group was released in a sealed pack together without barcodes. The barcode was on the cardboard stapled to the package opening. They're otherwise identical, but it would probably be good to mention why there are issues floating around without barcodes as a note at least. I can scan them for EoT if you'd really like, though. -And the mini one is about the size of a playing card with only the first four pages of issue 3. The cover has only Brock and Onix from the third issue cover. I thought it might warrant a trivia blurb or note with a possible cover image. Oh! And I've started scanning in my DVDs for preparation. :D Triltaison 03:53, 7 March 2012 (UTC)Triltaison
- Oh! That explains why some of my copies don't have barcodes ^^' (long story short - I have two copies each of the first volume's set...that I have collected over the years :) yeah, don't bother scanning both covers, one or the other is enough. the bonus booklet is definitely worth a mention on the issue/chapters's pages, but doesn't absolutely need a cover scan (unless you get bored idk lol, i'll look at mine and decide if i should scan it, mine is a different issue than yours)

- As for the division of the movie releases, I like your idea - I think we should split them apart between Japanese and USA seasons as separate articles. I also think maybe we should keep them even more divided than that - like, one for Indigo League, one for MQ, one for Galactic Battles, and so on, or at least by generation (OS/AG/DP/BW) otherwise the page will be huge!! As for formats, I don't know what I want to do yet, since all the VHS releases I have are matched by DVD as far as episode amounts, it's just a different format... although I think we should scan both covers since it's a different shape and there may be other differences (and it seems more fun ;)) (plus i am a big VHS freak/collecter/whatever. so i have lots of covers to scan...and i love VHS movies ^o^)
- Oh my only concern for the VHS thing is that I have some from Quebec (Canadian French) and i thiiiiiiiink the episode order is different but I'm not sure, i'd have to crosscheck them with my English Canadian ones. Anyway they definitely have different cover art...!! so idk how you want to do these from other regions, like should they get their own pages or what. since i am also an enthusiast for including information about Pokémon stuff from other regions :)
- Oh, yeah, totally! I meant each season should get a page, but I think it got lost in my typing. Each Region/market should get its own thing, like you were saying with the Canadian release. UK, Italy, France, and Japan share a region code, but their releases are crazy different. It would only make sense to link parallel releases from the same region, like the DVD and VHS versions of the Viz releases. I made a mock table of an outline that I think would work here: [1] (ignore the header and sidebar -was too lazy to code fresh CSS). The link for the Indigo League is an idea of how to maybe set up the actual disc listing pages, too. It's really simple, but I think that grouping would work well. I also think that Movies and specials should have their own list page since they're a little harder to place seasonally in the North American market and can just be lumped together, along with the Winter Vacation and Mewtwo Returns DVDs (which were treated like movies in their stateside release in the first place). Just listing the available regions for each market shouldn't be nearly as long as the full episode listing page since worldwide releases are pretty spotty. I know the UK has only gotten about half the movies and Chronicles, and mainland Europe got a handful of random releases with Italy seemingly getting the most according to my eBay prowling. Hopefully comm members can supply some info on that.
- VHS should generally follow whatever set-up we do as the DVD page, but using NTSC/PAL instead of region. So it'd be NTSC (US) for American tapes, NTSC (JP) for Japanese tapes, and PAL (UK) for British tapes and so on. I don't think there were ever any SECAM releases, but I suppose that it's possible and we might need to add some at some point. And no worries -I'm a big fan of international releases too. XD They're hard to find info on outside of their country of origin, so I think it'd be great to try and include as many as we can. ^^ Triltaison 09:17, 9 March 2012 (UTC)Triltaison
- Hey, there! I had been following your talk page without even seeing you had added onto mine. *sheepish grin* Whoops. We can continue on mine so we don't clutter up your whole page, but just wanted to make sure you didn't think I vanished and that we can spam mine now. I love the list look! The only fault I can think of is that Viz published the releases and Pioneer distributed, but we can fix that easy. Having a blurb under the box set releases about the publisher changes (no Pioneer involvement) and including the ISBN might be good too. Maybe change the lime green around the outside to something less jarring with the melon color -a red or something? Other than that, I think it's fantastic!
- Now about the individual pages for each disc... How about having a table at the bottom displaying links to scans for the cover, back, disc/VHS label, insert (if included)? Separate tables for DVD and VHS might be good, or just a label under each image as to what it is... Not sure about that. Then the basic info like the synopsis on the back of the disc or box, and the listing of included episodes. Special features or extra discs (like the Origin of Mewtwo on the First Movie's DVD or Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon included with Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) could get a blurb, if they exist for the release. The boxsets usually only have a description on the box, anyway. Links to the previous and next release in a series like when looking at individual episodes would be a nice touch, too. Oh, and I've been scanning in stuff and can start uploading right away! Triltaison 01:07, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Triltaison

- Yeah, sometimes manga and the anime don't always follow game canon as far as moves used, learned, etc. So even if it couldn't learn the move legally in the games it could still be used in the manga if the author decides to. --ZestyCactus 00:26, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Tabitha and Mack are Coordinators?
I added the category Coordinators to the articles of Tabitha and Mack, because in Chapter 220 of Pokémon Adventures Courtney says that the Three Fires of Team Magma are Coordinators, but my edits were undone. The user who undid edits claims that Tabitha and Mack are not Coordinators, he thinks Courtney is talking about another kind of coordinator. So I wonder, Tabitha and Mack are Pokémon Coordinators? I think so because Courtney is a real Pokémon Coordinator and said that while trying to convince Ruby to join the team! --Mikuri 05:06, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Upcoming Pokémon Adventures boxsets
After my recent trip to Amazon I found these three boxsets [2] [3] and [4] are being aimed for a release within late summer to early fall by Viz Media. While there is too little information to know which volumes are being included in each set I wanted to bring this to your attention to let you know about this and I can trust you to make the best choice for handling this. -Tyler53841 19:40, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

- I'm not too surprised that they are planned for release though considering other releases like The Best of Pokémon Adventures exist, as well as boxed sets of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Adventure! and the Zelda manga. What I really wish they would do though is release the My First Wide sets so we could get those volumes of the Ruby & Sapphire arc u__u anyway, i will keep an eye on them :) --ZestyCactus 22:47, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Pokémon in the manga
Hey Zesty, me and a few other staffers were talking and we were thinking, on Pokémon articles, should the manga sections be made like how the anime sections are? For example, on Pikachu we'd have:
==In the anime==
===Ash's Pikachu===
===Ritchie's Pikachu/Sparky===
etc.
Then in the manga:
==In the manga==
===In the Pokémon Adventures manga===
====Red's Pika====
====Yellow's ChuChu====
etc.
How does this sound to you? ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 12:38, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds great as I'm pretty sure I have done the same or similar in some articles. Definitely ok to go ahead with. I guess random appearances of Pikachu can go in the main header, and specific appearances get their own subheadings. so like
==In the manga==
===In the Pokémon Adventures manga===
Suchandsuch the random character has a Pikachu, and non-main character Pikachu was a focus of round PSXXX.
====Red's Pika====
[content]
====Yellow's ChuChu====

Outdated manga
While I'm not a manga reader* I've still added missing manga appearances for certain Pokémon. The problem is that most of the manga's chapters and volumes are outdated due to the missing official title. The problem is that there are two titles, one which appears on a page (the romanized one) and one which appears on another page (the official one). Here an example and here another one. You can see that there are two different titles.----DJWolfy 14:41, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- For Pokémon Pocket Monsters, I'm pretty sure that the discrepancy comes from the fact that Chuang Yi has an English translation, but it's really hard to find, so some of those titles are from the CY version and some are romanised from the Japanese version. All my PM volumes are in Japanese so I'm not sure which one is actually right ^^' but i will look into it, thanks! (n.b. when it is known which is which, I would prefer the CY version as the "main" title as it is the official English translation. thanks!) --ZestyCactus 20:48, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Pocket Monsters' Mewtwo article
The Mewtwo (Pocket Monsters) article was flagged awhile ago over whether it should be moved to "Blue's Mewtwo". I'm not the one who flagged it, but I did bring it up to the Bulbawiki forum because I frankly have to agree with it, and we decided to wait for your say on the matter, but there hasn't been word since. I think that the article would be better titled as Blue's Mewtwo, because it does belong to Blue. It's not like Adventures' Mewtwo where it is now solo, this one is still owned. Rai Marshall 20:54, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be moved considering he does own it. I will move it right now actually, thanks :) --ZestyCactus 21:20, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
PM manga images
Are you still scanning the images for the Pokémon Pocket Monsters characters that are missing them or are you taking a break from doing them? I was just asking since I don't have access in getting the images for the later volumes. PattyMan 17:25, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, for title pages - I have scanned all the title pages from the books I currently have, but I have another volume coming in the mail soon so I will scan that one too once it arrives. Then unless I find more volumes online (or in the wild, you never know :P) I'll just be adding images of Pokémon, characters, etc. --ZestyCactus 15:57, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
Manga consistency issue
Could you take a look at this ? It's about manga consistency. Please, tell me your opinion.----DJWolfy 19:48, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
Organization
OK, this has been bugging me for a while now, but I really need to point it out now. The manga section is horribly disorganized. I think there needs to be some rules put down to try and bring this down a little.
- OK, first of all, I notice that character templates don't allow me to put multiple chapter intros for characters that have multiple counterparts. This makes no sense, and I can't just take it off because it just puts an empty space there. Unless I'm mistaken and I'm not using the proper way to link multiple chapters, or the templates need to be fixed to allow it. If they can't, it might as well be removed.
- Second, the move template. I really don't like just assuming a Pokemon uses a move in a manga just because it looks like another move. We're a wiki, we shouldn't assume a move is something just because it appears to be one. In the anime, this is fine since the same move always looks the same and it's really easy to tell which is which. In a manga? No. I've read series like Pokemon Adventures and The Electric Tale of Pikachu, and some moves aren't even called out. Heck, how are we sure a move is actually a move? Pokemon have claws and teeth, so why should we assume a Pokemon biting something is Bite or slashing something is Cut, Scratch, or Slash? Should we assume a Pokemon looking angrily at someone is Glare or Intimidate? Also, we shouldn't add move templates for chapters that haven't been collected yet. I doubt most people who add those even own the original Japanese magazines that contain them.
- This one is partially my fault, but I do have a flimsy excuse. But when someone adds a new chapter title for a Pokemon Adventures title, we should check all pages that link to it and change the titles to match.

Should we assume a Pokemon looking angrily at someone is Glare or Intimidate? Also, we shouldn't add move templates for chapters that haven't been collected yet. I doubt most people who add those even own the original Japanese magazines that contain them.
So, what do you think? Ataro 19:31, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ok so for the character template, you mean how for Blue's template (for example) it says
- Manga counterpart(s): Kai, Blue
- Debut chapter: A Glimpse of the Glow!
- Which I think is totally dumb because some characters, like Red and Blue who have like 8 billion manga counterparts, you can't list every chapter each one is introduced in. I honestly think this is a remainder from several years ago when the manga section had a huge bias towards Pokémon Adventures... once in a while I still find pages describing Adventures as "the" manga. So honestly I think we'll just get rid of that part of the template, it's dumb and messy and impossible to keep up with. The manga character's pages can have all that information instead.
- For second point, I don't actually know who's doing this because I'm not doing it. I only add moves if it's definitively used with the name (like "Rattata, use Bite!!", only then will I post a picture of Rattata using Bite) if you see instances like this where the move is not for sure, you can remove it if you want.
- Thirdly, yes. That's just good practice. Plus as another user pointed out above some of the PPM chapter names are messed up because some come from CY and some come from the Japanese version (this is mostly due to a lack of resources) but there are others I know are messy as well like Get da ze! since half of them will use romanised Japanese names and half will use English translations (for example, Fierce Foe - Fushigibana! vs Fierce Foe - Venusaur!) so I know I have to work on making a consistent decision for those ones. ^^'

- Anyway I hope I was able to address all your concerns, let me know if you have any other questions. I should probably update the Manga MoS with some of this stuff as well. --ZestyCactus 15:56, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry to butt into this, but what about moves that are not physical? The examples that Ataro pointed out are all physical-based moves. What I'm getting at is what about Vee's forms? This was probably my fault, but there was no mention of those moves at all... some clarification maybe? ht14 22:26, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Giovanni & Prof. Oak
Do you think Giovanni and Professor Oak of Pokémon Pocket Monsters should have their own pages as both of them played a major role in the manga (with Oak appearing in the original and Ruby-Sapphire)? Giovanni does have a sheer amount of information on his original page. PattyMan 03:49, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- By the way, giving you a heads up, Giovanni's page is protected due to the Black 2 and White 2 situation going on. PattyMan 15:41, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Professor Oak I'll leave for now because the actual content isn't huge, just his list of Pokémon. Giovanni should probably be moved though. --ZestyCactus 14:47, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- Professor Oak's content may get big in the future but you do have a good point there. PattyMan 22:14, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- If Oak's content expands further we can reconsider, but I'll leave it where it is for now. --ZestyCactus 03:50, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- Speaking of Giovanni, can you or another admin remove the Pocket Monsters manga content on his page (it is titled Giovanni) since it is in his Pocket Monsters page? Would it be okay if I ask you to upload images of Lance's Pokémon in PM036 only or Oak's Pokémon in PM038 only? I don't want to make this pressuring. PattyMan 22:54, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Appearances
Could you add the manga appearances of Rood's Pokémon on their respective pages ? I can't because their pages are protected.----DJWolfy 10:14, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- No problem, all good. --ZestyCactus 15:00, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

- Uhm... Isn't Gold a Cancer since Cancer lasts till 22.07 ? Also, his trivia says he's a Cancer.----DJWolfy 16:52, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry about cutting into the conversation, but isn't there no relevance to the horoscopal characters in Adventures? ht14 21:15, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- The astrological sign is automatically calculated by a template, I think, since whenever I added a character's birthday it changes the sign with it. (I put my birthday in and previewed it without saving and it changed to Libra, which is my sign) we have it for non-Adventures characters as well, like Apricot (or pretty much any character with a known birthday) so I will look into it. --ZestyCactus 03:52, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Also, I've seen some articles have inconsistencies about the "Moves used" section. For example here the section is independent while here the section is a subsection of the History section. What's the correct form of it ?----DJWolfy 11:38, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- I would prefer "moves used" separately from the history. Also, Werd you can go ahead and take out the astrological signs, AFAIK it doesn't have any special significance. --ZestyCactus 16:05, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Two quick questions
For the Adventures manga, in the synopsis, should the nickname used be the one from the Viz translation rather than the Chuang Yi version? Provided there is a difference or that Viz has translated it of course. Also, in the list of Pokemon that appear in each chapter, should the nickname and character it belongs to always be shown? Different pages have the nicknames and the character's they're owned by, and others don't. Just wanna see to be sure. --It's Funktastic~! 21:09, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Funktastic, when there is a VIZ Media nickname, I would prefer that used over the CY name when applicable. Of course, if there is only a CY name, I would still prefer that over the Japanese version as it is also a licensed English translation. For your second question, nickname and character should be shown when applicable. Something like Poliwhirl (Poli; Red's) would be perfect. --ZestyCactus 15:48, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! That's what I assumed, but I didn't want to change a bunch of stuff and then it be wrong.--It's Funktastic~! 17:15, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
- Also, just checking about something. Is it necessary to show both Viz and Chuang Yi nicknames when applicable in the Pokemon appearance list? I always put them both on because most of the pages I've seen have them(at least the ones up to the RSE chapter, since I haven't read up to that yet), but I don't want to add them to the pages I've been editing if it's unnecessary. --It's Funktastic~! 01:19, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- Haha I've kind of flip-flopped on the names myself, I suppose something like PS091 would be ideal, though i guess it's not an urgent matter. I generally would prefer it though to avoid confusing CY-based readers (i mean, VIZ is the default since it's the US/Canada/UK version, but there are other readers from Singapore, Philippines, etc and I think CY is also released in Australia and New Zealand but I'm not sure :P) ANYWAY short answer: you can leave both names in. :V --ZestyCactus 15:08, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
- So would it be all right to add them to pages where they aren't? Or is it not worth bothering to do? Sorry for asking so many questions. --It's Funktastic~! 02:57, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Isamu Akai and Kai Midorikawa
A while ago, it was brought up on the forums that these names had only been used in one panel of the entire manga, so policy would be to call them "Red (Pocket Monsters)" and "Green (Pocket Monsters)" (like how we call Natural Harmonia Gropius N). I added this to their pages because I have no experience in the manga a figured people who did should decide, but it ended up being removed without discussion. The user bumped the idea, so I thought I should get you to decide now. Should they stay where they are now or be moved? --SnorlaxMonster 04:56, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hiya! I was aware of this issue when it was brought up originally and I've been sitting on it pretty much ever since, haha. I believe at the time it was brought up first, CoolPikachu! was in charge of the manga and to leave it at Isamu Akai was his decision. Anyway I've been trying to think of an example where we use the "long" name as the article but came up short so far. Furthermore, you look at an example like Sapphire, which is at Sapphire as opposed to Sapphire Birch. (whoopsie almost wrote something else instead of Birch :P) anyway, I think I'm alright with the move, I'd just like to run it by Deth first since it'll need a lot of page changes. --ZestyCactus 19:51, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Platinum chapter
I have no idea what's going on, but no matter what I do, this page will not remove the "present" part. It's ended, so there's no need for it to be there. Ataro (talk) 07:43, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
- It was hardcoded into the template for the Platinum chapter. I changed it so that it'll just say that if the last round is "unknown". Werdnae (talk) 08:14, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire chara articles
Hey Zesty, I was wondering. Can the Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire character articles, like Ruby (Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire), be reduced to simply (Ruby-Sapphire)? Pokémon Adventure characters have (Adventure), Pokémon Zensho have (Zensho), and so on; figured it was a more conforming style to just knock out the "Pokémon". Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 13:33, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, make it so. There's already some articles like Blue (Pocket Monsters) anyway which follows the same rule. --ZestyCactus 02:30, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
Isamu Akai and Kai Midorikawa articles
It came to my attention sometime ago, as pointed out by Dogasu on the forums, that the Isamu Akai and Kai Midorikawa articles, and related articles along with navigation templates, should be moved. According to Dogasu, Isamu and Kai have always went under the nicknames of "Red" and "Green" respectively, and that their full names were only ever mentioned once during the entire manga series. Dogasu pointed this out on the forums awhile ago, and the articles were marked for move as such, but like the article of Blue's Mewtwo, those articles were never moved.
I'll admit that during my editings of those articles, and of the trainer's respective Pokémon articles, I had removed the move notifications after I noticed someone else remove one, and only naturally believed that because no one moved them since, there was no need to keep the notifications. I was wrong then, and since this has come to my attention that "Red" and "Green" are used more in favor of their real names, then the articles should probably be moved. I just wanted to point this out. Thanks. Rai Marshall (talk) 02:09, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- I'm aware of the issue, I haven't made a final decision yet. Will let you know soon, thanks for your input :) --ZestyCactus 01:14, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Great, thanks for informing me earlier. I'll be sure to help with redirect corrections as I find them too. Rai Marshall (talk) 18:34, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
DVD Lists
Got a bunch of DVD listings up on my userpage. Would love some feedback on them, when you get a chance. Just have Advanced, AC, AB, and the movies left. ^^ --Triltaison 18:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Just took a look, everything looks awesome :) you can go ahead and mainspace whatever you'd like (just follow my examples lol) if you have any questions let me know :D --ZestyCactus 01:17, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yay! My only question is how to check the colors from an existing template. I need to make the Battle Frontier tables the right greens, the Johto ones gold and silver, etc. -To make them match up with their seasons like Indigo and Orange Islands. Is there a list of them somewhere, or a way to check the code of an existing template to see the colors used? --Triltaison 05:20, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
- The {{red color light}} and {{green color}} in the first line of the table code are setting the colours. Orange Islands would have the red and green replaced with "orange". Johto would have "gold" and "silver", Advanced would have "ruby" and "sapphire", Battle Frontier would have "firered" and "leafgreen", DP would have "diamond" and "pearl", Best Wishes (once that comes out) would have "black" and "white" and Best Wishes 2 would have "black 2" and "white 2". Basically, it's just the relevant game colours, except for Orange Islands. Werdnae (talk) 06:04, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

Zestyyy
Kenji-girl redirected me here when I asked about Volkner's Electivire's notability. Do you think its role in Adventures was prominent enough to deserve its own article or not? Part of me is saying it probably isn't but it's also so others don't ask to create an article for it. ht14 04:12, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- Personally i believe that it is not notable enough for its own article barring an unforseen explosion of appearances or something :P --ZestyCactus 04:14, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Professor Oak
Professor Oak's content got a huge increase according to the history, do you think that it would be a good time now for it to be placed in the Pocket Monsters article (similar to what happened to Giovanni)? PattyMan 00:12, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
PokéWake
Currently we disambiguate How I Became a Pokémon Card as "PokéWake", a term completely unreflective of what we refer to it as. I know it is abbreviated from the Japanese name, but I really think we should be disambiguating them as "How I Became a Pokémon Card" or something like "HIBPC" if that's too long.
Also, the page Ryū currently has two other characters sharing a Japanese name noted, and now Dragnor also shares its Japanese name, I think the character from a minor manga should probably be moved. Do you agree, and if so, should it be (Aim to be Battrio Master), or (ABM) or something else? --SnorlaxMonster 13:57, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm, I personally think Ryū should stay where he is because he only has his Japanese name, the others are known by their English names so the disambig at the top of Ryū's page is fine to me. Maybe add Dragnor to the top though. Otherwise, if it must be moved, ABM is fine.
- For How I Became a Pokémon Card, this is the sort of dilemma that happened with Pokémon Adventures a couple years back. I think the justification for "Special" over "Adventures" is that it was "popularly known as Special" (which i thought was BS) but anyway, I'm sidetracked, I think the reason we've been calling it PokéWake is that it's "popularly known" as that. However, I believe in using English names, so if we're translating the full title, I suppose translating the abbreviation makes sense too. LONG STORY SHORT, it should be changed. Stop calling it PokéWake. Let me know if you have any other questions. :D --ZestyCactus 16:06, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Redirection?
Hey Zesty Cactus. I have never had an account to this site until now, so I am not sure if this is the proper way of contacting you, or if you are even the person that I should be asking this question to. I was wondering, though, if there might be any way that we could get more information on held items (ex. soothe bell) on the site. I have noticed that Serebii.net has more information on held items, but I am a Bulbapedia man myself, so I would prefer to not have to use Serebii. I know it is a large task, but I would definitely be interested in helping out if someone could maybe show me how to get started. And if I should be contacting someone else about this, then could you please redirect me to whoever may be more directly related to this request? Thanks so much for your help!
