Mesprit (Japanese: エムリット Emrit) is the second member of Sinnoh's Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon trinity.
Biology
Mesprit is a legendary Pokémon that is part of the Psychic-type Lake Trio along with Uxie and Azelf. It has a small, gray body about the size of Mew, and is identical to Uxie and Azelf except for its head. It has a pink head with a jewel embedded in its forehead, and four long ears drooping down its head looking like those of Lucario. Mesprit is referred to as "The Being of Emotion". It is said that Mesprit taught humans to sense emotion such as the pain of sorrow and the value of joy. If a human touches it, three days after the touch, the person will lose their emotions.
In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the trio is captured by Team Galactic, and they are freed by the protagonist. They attempt to stop Dialga or Palkia from overwhelming Sinnoh later in the game. When it is encountered afterwards, it flees in order to see the world. It is randomly encountered in the wild afterwards, and can be located using a Pokétch application.

Habitat
Mesprit sleeps in Lake Verity. Once it is encountered, it will run away, wandering around Sinnoh and only traceable with the Map Marker Pokétch app. Mesprit will warp to a new location whenever the player crosses the boundary between two areas except if the player passes through a gate between a city and a route.
