Welcome to Bulbapedia, Rsrdaman!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Hi

Just to let you know, the current userspace editing limit is 1 per day and you've made 2 already. We go by server time (located on the top right of every page), so be sure to check your contributions to see if a day has passed or not before editing your userspace again. More information can be found in the Userspace policy. Thanks. Jellotalk

AARGG! Im really sorry about that. When i got the message "You are currently editing your userpage or a page in the user namespace. All edits to this page must be in accordance with the userspace policy. You may not make more than three edits to this namespace per day. Please limit your edits and preview before saving." The three edits thing made me completely forget, i'm really sorry and i won't do it again! --Rsrdaman 21:38, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Template:P

Please don't forget to use it (specifically in the Johto guard glitch parameter). --SnorlaxMonster 08:07, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

ok,thanks. Im just so used to using [[]] because of the the glitch Pokémon--×Rsrdaman× 19:59, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Moving glitch pages

Hi Rsrdaman. To let you know, articles should usually only be moved when a consensus has been reached for a renaming. Moving articles without talking it over with other users can lead to all kinds of mess, as the pages are invariably linked throughout the wiki. Additionally, we would appreciate it if the glitch Pokémon stayed at their descriptive names. Some browsers may not be able to handle the special-character titles, and the last time we had some pages at special-character titles, the server threw a tantrum. For now, please just leave these were they are. Thanks for your understanding, —darklordtrom 21:11, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Im just renaming them to what their name shoud be, the proof is in the Pokédex screenshots. And are you reffering to the title ▓.? Its not any odd text object really, its a symbol in MS Word called Dark shade, any Windows computer can display it. And I understand how the server wont like it, I'll just put a technical issue note on the page--×Rsrdaman× 21:29, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
Also, if you do move the pages, can please fix the double redirects that you create (easily viewable via Special:WhatLinksHere, accessible via sidebar). It would also be good if you could fix other links to that page as well. --SnorlaxMonster 05:14, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Glitch names

It would make it a lot easier to decide what to name them if we had images of their names. Can you upload these images? If so, please do so. Also, those special characters (like ▓) probably shouldn't be used as while they may appear similar to the characters used in their names, they are not the same. Special characters in page titles shouldn't break anything, but it would be better to be accurate.

Also, regarding glitchy Charizard, did you suggest moving it to u due to that being displayed in its dex entry (but not in the name spot)? That is not really its name, so not a good way to name it (but I also believe that glitchy Charizard is not a good name either). --SnorlaxMonster 03:42, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

Well for ▓. the reason i did that is because it has a period in its name but you cant make that a page title, and sometimes for glitch Pokémon they will display their name just below your Pokémons sprite, and that's what it displayed. Just check my page for pics, I'll put them on. And for glitchy Charizard, "u" is actually part of its name because when it appears it says a wild "u" has appeared just out of the text box, ill put that picture up too. --×Rsrdaman× 02:53, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay then. I don't really like using those kind of characters as they are still not accurate. However, as a workaround for wiki software not allowing a page titled ".", you can call it . (glitch Pokémon). As for glitchy Charizard, u seems like its name then, and it should be moved. --SnorlaxMonster 10:15, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Welcoming users

All you have to do is type {{subst:welcome}}. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:06, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Ok thanks, I didnt know the template so I just copy'd mine :P --×Rsrdaman× 05:09, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Restored glitch Pokémon

Sorry I took so long, I kept wanting to clean each one after restoring, but now I realize it's easier to just restore them all and cleaning can be a group effort. Besides, having a list here makes it easy for me.

Restored:

Please note that most of these pages are not anywhere near Bulbapedia's quality standards, and many of the templates have since been updated. I may be able to restore some images too. --SnorlaxMonster 13:34, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Your archive template

As per the userspace policy, you should ask before using someone else's personal template. I would appreciate it if you didn't use it. In the past, another user asked to use it, but I told them I would rather they didn't, since I pretty much made it from scratch and I like having a unique user talk page. Thank you for understanding. --SnorlaxMonster 14:39, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Oh, sorry about that! Can you show me how to make my own then? I would really appreciate it. Thanks--×Rsrdaman× 19:44, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok, well i made my own now, but i'm sorry for not asking, i was being stupid.

Attitude

Hello, your recent edit to your template wasn't susceptible with the Code of conduct. Speaking in all caps and swearing gets your message across as angry. Please calm down, and treat other users as you would like to be treated. Have a nice afternoon. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 19:24, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Ok, im well aware of the code of conduct, but I simply dont understand how, or why, anyone would think its ok to edit a personal page without saying anything. I was just stating a point and wasn't raging by saying "FUCK YOU!" or anything. And really, I dont remember damn being a swear word. Sorry for any trouble. Have a nice afternoon too.--×Rsrdaman× 22:02, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Wanted glitches

I noticed that there are quite a few glitches on the wanted pages, and I wondered if it would at all be possible for you to take a look at them sometimes and see what you can create. You are the only person I think would be able to do anything about them, and they have been sitting on the wanted pages for quite a long time. MaverickNate 19:03, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

Sure, i've been mainly focusing on just the glitch Pokémon for a while and a change would be nice, i'd gladly do it. Also i'm honored to have such a prestigious person to have touched my talk page, Thank you. --×Rsrdaman× 05:04, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Apology

Well, I just want to apologize if I ever came up as a bit cocky, regarding this section. Only realized it a few minutes ago, after re-reading it and talking it over. As the page was at the time, I felt there was no need to keep that article, but the reason for the deletion was wrongly worded, as SnorlaxMonster has written recently. The article is now perfectly fine and now I don't see a reason for it to be deleted, so I guess you did a great job with it even though it needs a little bit of information, but nothing can be complete it one sit, so yeah, I apologize again, and keep up with the great work. Masatoshitalk 07:34, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Its alright, no hard feelings. You admins have lots of work to do on here and I can understand you. Thanks though. --×Rsrdaman× 07:42, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Bill

The sentence says, "Bill is the genius and inventor.". This doesn't make sense, since there are plenty of geniuses in the game(Lanette, Celio, Bebe, etc.) and there are other inventors (Celio inventing the machine the machine on One Island and Fennel inventing the way to get into the Dream World). Leaving it with 'the' in it is incorrect. It's Funktastic~! 00:10, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Quoted it wrong, it's "Bill is the talented and famous inventor," but my point still stands. It's Funktastic~! 00:14, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Yes I know, those others are inventors*, but Bill is the most renowned, mainly for the creation of the Pokémon storage system, for which most of all the other inventors simply added upon. He is mentioned in multiple games and the others have even said that they just made their systems from Bill's. The sentence is correct the way it was.--×Rsrdaman× 01:19, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
He is the most renown, not the only renown one. And like I said, there are other inventors than the people who worked on the Pokemon Storage System, like Fennel. So while Bill is the most well-known, he is not the only known inventor, and certainly not the only known. It's Funktastic~! 12:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello

For future reference, instead of requesting people "not to touch" in edit summaries and expect people not to, use the {{Inuse}} template. This will alert users that you are currently making a large edit to that page. It also allows a reasonable time frame of when you think the edit will be done so the page won't be hogged if other editors would like to edit it. Have a good day. --Pokemaster97 21:14, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Well first off I wasn't even in the process of editing it right then. Also, I wasn't really expecting anyone to be editing it besides SnorlaxMonster, because noone really give a crap about most things in that area. So anyway, I will put that up when im in the process of it, but I wasn't editing it at the current. I just didn't wan't anyone to make any of there little changes here and there. And please don't say "have a good day" or anything, its quite offensive.--×Rsrdaman× 21:25, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
It doesn't matter though. You don't have the right to tell people "do not touch" a page. You can kindly request it by using the template. You don't have to edit right that min either, if you plan on editing in a bit you can still put the template up. Your attitude towards me for kindly implying you to have a good day is uncalled for and you need to stop and remember that people are only trying to help YOU. Please remember that in the future. --Pokemaster97 21:39, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Please read Have_a_nice_day and notice "commentators have stated that it seems artificial or even offensive." And I think I do have the right to tell people to not to touch a page, as I am the creator of it. Also as SnorlaxMonster had said in the editing if the Johto guard glitch page "adding the table of conversions from Gen II to Gen I. Nobody touch or I will eat you"*.--×Rsrdaman× 21:52, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Chill. Not everyone who says "have a good day" means it offensively, and it's offensive that you think that everyone DOES think that way. Lighten up and relax. -- MAGNEDETH 21:57, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Hey, I wasn't the one who started arguing, and to me thats offensive, so I asked them to stop. Chilling? Im just trying to proove a point.--×Rsrdaman× 22:08, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Look, I'm sorry you took the phrase the wrong way, so I won't say it to you anymore. While you're editing please look at the bottom of the page, bullet point 2 Please note that all contributions to Bulbapedia may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. . Also SnorlaxMonster is a long time staff member and has EARNED the right to request (nicely of course) for users to not edit a page for a little bit and even then his tone was jokingly while yours was slightly demanding. I'm not saying you can't ask people not to, I'm just saying don't "tell" people not to. --Pokemaster97 22:13, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

OK OK, ill do it. I didn't think my tone was demanding, but whatever. Have a good nice uh... happy day --×Rsrdaman× 22:20, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Chill.

It is never okay to tell anyone on this wiki to die. Vandal, spambot, doesn't matter. You stay calm and treat everyone, including vandals, with respect. Otherwise you are simply lowering yourself to their level and rewarding them with what they want. Reacting like that only encourages some trolls or vandals. There is also no need to use capslock for vandals. Staff are more than capable of understanding the word without all caps. Werdnae (talk) 01:46, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, it just pisses me off when I see people that have nothing else to do but waste their time and screw stuff up. Oh, and about the capslock, I just thought it would be easier for you guys to find it that way. But ok then.--×Rsrdaman× 01:53, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

User pages

Please take a moment to give the userspace policy a good read. Editing user pages outside your own userspace is only allowed under very specific circumstances. Fixing a formatting error is not one of them, as it in no way negatively effects the operations of Bulbapedia. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 16:36, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Oh, well sorry then. I did read the userspace policy, but I guess what I did wasn't accepted. Won't do it again!--×Rsrdaman× 16:39, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Welcome Line

Hi, I noticed your conversation with SnorlaxMonster, and I replied to it, because I've found the solution. I see you didn't visit the conversation page again, so I'm posting it here (one month later!), because I still want to help you to remove the line. Just remove the following code:

{| align="center" width="100%" style="background: #666666; -moz-border-radius: 1em; border: 3px solid #000000;"
|-
| style="background: #{{Unknown color dark}}; -moz-border-radius: 1em; padding: 1em 1em;" |
{| align="left" width="20%" style="background: #666666; -moz-border-radius: 1em; border: 2px solid #000000; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0em;"
|-
{| align="right" width="15%" style="background: #666666; -moz-border-radius: 1em; border: 3px solid #000000;"
|-

At least it worked for me :D TheOriginalOne 18:15, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Uh, that just breaks the page and causes the background to be wrapped around my infobox...--×Rsrdaman× 07:40, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Glitch names

Hey, just to let you know, when you move glitch articles, could you also rename the glitch on the template page, that way the server will fix up all the template links on the Pokémon pages and when I come on there are a lot less links to fix. Thanks muchly --Spriteit (talk) 11:19, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

Sure, will do.--×Rsrdaman× 21:20, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

Naming conventions

Do not add naming conventions without consulting me first. You added a convention for sprites we don't need; all we need is the front and back battle sprites. Also, when you added it, you put "RBsprite00" rather than "RBGlitch00", which could have caused many people to name sprites incorrectly if I hadn't caught it in time. You also used "_s" in the name, despite that being the letter reserved for Shiny sprites—I'm not even sure that glitches have them (----- is always Shiny, and Gen I doesn't have Shinies), but even if they don't it would be too confusing to use it like that when it means something very different for regular Pokémon sprites. Your additions of image dimensions weren't that great either, but I didn't mind them so much either because for the most part I liked what you had. --SnorlaxMonster 03:52, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I wasn't thinking right. I've been working on 'v and its been very confusing... I left a message on your page with some things about the images and the naming.--×Rsrdaman× 03:57, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Pokémon evolving into other Pokémon

When a glitch Pokémon evolves into one Pokémon, then immediately into another (e.g. 'M evolving into Kangaskhan then Clefairy) then it is because it has reached the triggers for both at the same time. If the Pokémon has met the evolution conditions for both the first and second stages it still only evolves once (e.g. a Bulbasaur reaching level 99 only evolves into Ivysaur, not Ivysaur then Venusaur). What this means is that the best way to list them is by not saying that 'M → Kangaskhan → Clefairy, but this:

'M → Kangaskhan
→ Clefairy

Likewise, this applies to 'v. I'm not actually sure what effect cancelling the first evolution would have, but I assume the others would still occur. --SnorlaxMonster 08:32, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Ok , I get it. I forgot about the fact that B can stop evolutions.--×Rsrdaman× 20:34, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

ゥL ||ゥM 4

Now I'm really confuse. You told me that I had to crop the glitch names from the battle screens. Ok, I started doing so, but what recently confused me is the fact that after I had done so for LM4, your fixes didn't just include the size (what I was going to correct; I remember that 8 px story), but also included the color. What??? Really, where can I get the right colors? TheOriginalOne 21:56, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

I get the colors from their in-battle names, not the Pokédex entry. The reason to use the in-battle names is because they show the right colors and tiles of them, the Pokédex entry changes their palette to brown and changes some of their tiles.
Here is an example: in battle and Pokédex. See the difference in its name?
So, it's fine you upload the names like you are now, considering you don't have the game; i'll just upload the colored ones over them when I have the time.--×Rsrdaman× 22:13, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
That's not what I meant, but still, now I think I understood everything. Yeah, I remember you telling me on my talk page that I shouldn't use their Pokédex names, but their in-battle names. That was precisely what I was saying before: I used the in-battle name, but it was wrong. Now I know: at the time I tought you were referring the ones from the text box. But now finaly I realised that you were talking about the name next to the pokémon (if you go to the history of the file, you'll realise that the previous one was from the in-battle text box). Am I right? TheOriginalOne 22:36, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
Yup, you got it. Good we got things cleared up. If you need help with anything else about the Glitchdex, feel free to ask. --×Rsrdaman× 23:22, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Please don't accuse someone of "screwing up" a page in your edit summaries. Doing so comes across as very hostile and not at all civil. Please keep your edit summaries civil. If you use them only to explain what you did or your reasoning behind the edit, which is their intended purpose, you shouldn't have that problem. Werdnae (talk) 03:32, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Hey, not my fault TheOriginalOne is an ignorant little kid who thinks he can do whatever he wants, and not consult anyone first. He has done stuff like this multiple times. And it's not as if he is very civil either. Not to mention what you said on his page. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, but as it seems, he just respondes ignorance with ignorance. --×Rsrdaman× 19:44, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
