Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
Two things
First, I removed your overview as the Userspace policy mentions that you should not use your talk page in lieu of your userpage. Which leads me to my second point. This warning and this post on RespectThePixel's page are absolutely unacceptable. While the redlinks do need to be fixed, and looking at their talk page shows that they're working to fix that, there are absolutely no rules against fakemon in userspace. Not to mention there a million things you can edit that have nothing to with those redlinks (and since you know they're fake you can easily avoid them). Please take a look at the code of conduct which was also linked in the welcome above, as those posts were both extremely rude. Thank you. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 18:49, 15 December 2013 (UTC) Thank you for notifying me. I let my rage get the best of me. I also realized that, for some reason, I can't even create pages yet. I just saw 20 redlinks about stuff that wasn't even in the pokemon canon, and it really bothered me. I will be more constructive next time. Irtehmrepic (talk) 23:37, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
Re:Video?
Hi. A lot of the time I just use VBA's built in AVI recorder and set the compressor to Microsoft Video 1, usually at 80%. BGB has some kind of recording, via sound->animation recording but it just gives you loads of BMPs and a WAV and you have to combine them together with ffmpeg. Its a bit inconvenient as you have to do it by command prompt and for a few of my videos on my other account I don't use much Youtube uploaded them with the wrong length/cut off some images, so I recommend using VBA.
Keep in mind that VBA is known for being less accurate than BGB, so if you want to experiment with glitches like the dokokashira door glitch, then I recommend one of the newer VBA emulators like vba-v24m-svn422 (a Google search will bring it up).
If I'm recording something and I can't use an in-built video recorder, I use CamStudio, a screen recorder. It's free and there's no watermark, which is good. You'll have to enable Stereo Mix to record audio from the computer itself. The only downside to it is that due to driver differences on newer operating systems like Windows 7 Stereo Mix depends on the current volume (so to get good audio you have to keep your volume on max) while on older operating systems you could even record the audio with your volume off. If you decide to use CamStudio remember to set max framerate to ~30 frames per second on video options, otherwise the file sizes will get too big. You'll also need to choose Stereo Mix on Audio Capture Device on Audio Options for Microphone.
If you don't use emulators I'm not sure what to suggest other than using a video camera on a Game Boy Advance SP or a Capture Board for DS/3DS, sorry.
I hope this helps. --Chickasaurus (talk) 23:27, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
