Rain (Japanese: あめ Rain) is a weather condition introduced in battle in Generation II. It was introduced in the overworld in Generation III.
Rain will last for five turns if created using Rain Dance or, since Generation VI, Drizzle; it will last eight turns if the user is holding a Damp Rock. If encountered in the overworld or created using Drizzle prior to Generation VI, rain will last until it is replaced.
