English and Japanese name origins
Pikipeck is most likely derived from picus (Latin for woodpecker), possibly pico (Spanish for beak or crest), and peck. Tsutsukera is a combination of 突く tsutsuku (to peck) and 啄木鳥 keratsutsuki (woodpecker).--Siobonbon (talk) 18:10, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Trivia
This Pokemon was originally revealed as a wireframe model in the Sun and Moon Announcement Trailer. - unsigned comment from Theexploringgamer (talk • contribs)
Evolutions
Somewhat irrelevant but the Pokedex showed that Pikipek is the first of a 3-stage evolution. --Buffbills7701 (talk) 18:55, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
technically, it only showed that it was related to two other pokemon, which can either be evolutions as you pointed out, or other kinds of counterparts. like how weedle is caterpie's counterpart. Yamitora1 (talk) 06:49, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Pokedex Entry
If it is relevant to put in, can someone put this in?

Origin
Can it be put in that it is based off of a Pileated Woodpecker please? Playerking95 (talk) 20:29, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Tiki?
could its name also be a corruption of tiki? afterall, this is a hawaii based region and tikis are often made of wood. Yamitora1 (talk) 04:03, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
