Template talk:Catch
suggestion
really like this new template. i have been thinking for some time, since the japanese blue pokemon is different from others, shouldn't we have another colume for it? -Pokeant 17:59, 21 August 2010 (UTC) EDIT: under location for areas such as pokemon tower and the mansion in kanto, should we put is as grass or cave? or maybe we should think of something else. plus, fossils should be under rate instead of location such as the old template in Cinnabar Island. hope feedback is useful. -Pokeant 18:27, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- For buildings, just put floor numbers. The default is stairs for that very reason. TTEchidna 23:49, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Catch3a
Can also be used on Altering Cave. --SnorlaxMonster 08:55, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Uneven column widths...
...are uneven. Is this a hard-to-correct problem, or is there some other reason that the column widths aren't fixed to custom percentages...? Ztobor 17:31, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
update bw table
the time does not affect the pokemon, but seasons. we should change is to reflect the season instead of the time. also, there should be other entries for the double pokemon grass (i think it is a darker version of the grass, and other new mechanics in the game, such as special spot in caves which may give item or pokemon etc. -Pokeant 17:35, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Ilex Forest
It needs some king of special option for wild Pokémon available there. --SnorlaxMonster 02:00, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Pokémon outbreak
Can someone good with templates please fix the parameters so that "Swarm" links to Pokémon outbreak instead of Mass Outbreak. This will fix several links that are currently redirects. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 22:24, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- Anyone? --Pokemaster97 01:19, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- Someone that can bypass protection can do it, i.e. an admin. It's in the individual Catch/x templates. Malake256 04:53, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Sprites needed
Doesn't this template need a rustling grass and rustling water sprites needed? If so I could find and upload them and let someone add them. Frozen Fennec 00:25, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- It does. Flying Pokémon's shadows, dust clouds, and deep sand as well. --SnorlaxMonster 00:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Only one thing
For legendaries, i get the only one thing, because there's only one, but I think legendaries should have their own thing, like this: Legendary Purrloin! Meow!!! 21:53, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
A few thoughts
Hey, so I just edited the page to add B2W2 and Gen VI. A few questions:
- Should the template for ORAS really include all those things from Gen V ("Sand", "Dark", "Rustling",...)? Probably the wrong place to ask that.
- Should all of the options be included, even though they are never used on the actual pages? (Such as "Swarm" for post-GenIV games)
- Talking about template editing, it'd be nice to format everything the way Template:Catch/entry7 is formatted in the "view source" option with all possible entries on a new line (well, except "Fake", but still)... it'd be way more readable.
- How do we add SM/USUM to the table at the top, as it has a different amount of columns than the rest (+ Allies)? Should it be added separately, or should the whole table be just made int a Gen VII one? Added separately for now.
- Talking about SMUSUM, what would be the best description for the day/night times? Should the MUM 12 hour time difference be mentioned, is it necessary? Should the Time article be linked?
Can we say this is now up-to-date and remove the "outdated" stampe? Thanks for any answers on this, or redirections who to talk to. ~KingisNitro (talk) 00:35, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for finally editing this long-overdue edit. sumwun (talk) 00:54, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Had to figure out most of them by seeing them used, but hey, you're welcome. Still, it could be better... ~KingisNitro (talk) 02:10, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
