Chase (Japanese: カケル Kakeru) is the male player character in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. His female counterpart is Elaine, and is analogous to Red as he appears in Generation I and their remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen, along with Leaf as she appears in the latter two games.
In the games
Chase is a young boy from Pallet Town. His adventure begins one day when Professor Oak calls him and his friend Trace to his lab for a starter Pokémon. Chase picks a PikachuP or EeveeE , while Trace picks the opposite Pokémon. Oak also gives them each a Pokédex with which to record data on all known Pokémon in the Kanto region to fulfill Oak's dream of creating a full guide on all Pokémon in Kanto.
From here, Chase and Trace journey across Kanto, collecting Pokémon to build up their teams, and defeating each of the Gym Leaders in turn.

Pokémon
Pikachu is Chase's first known Pokémon. It was first used to capture a wild Pidgey and then a Mankey. Later, it went up against a Hiker's Onix, but struggled due to its Electric-type moves being ineffective. Eventually, it won with a supereffective Splishy Splash.
Pikachu's known moves are Zippy Zap*, Quick Attack*, Thunderbolt, and Splishy Splash.
Pidgey is Chase's second known Pokémon. After being encountered in the wild, Chase attempted to catch it, but failed when Hajime missed the ring surrounding it. After some advice from Satoru, Hajmie properly threw the Poké Ball at the ring, allowing Chase to catch it.
None of Pidgey's moves are known.
Mankey is Chase's second known Pokémon. Chase managed to catch it when Hajime and Satoru teamed up and threw a Poké Ball at the same time.
None of Pidgey's moves are known.
