Does anybody else think Gigantamax Urshifu was inspired by wrathful deities? A wrathful deity is a ferocious defender of Buddhism who often has a very demonic appearance. This form is said to be taken by the bodhisattvas in the Underworld to judge and punish the wicked.
The reason I bring this up is because the official site describes Gigantamax Urshifu Single Strike Style as the embodiment of rage, and a divine emissary which expels evil spirits with its sheer anger, and it also says that Gigantamax Urshifu Rapid Strike Style stares at people and Pokémon so intensely they feel their souls being examined on a very personal level, while some actually feel as if they have been cleansed of the taint left behind by evil spirits
