The card was available as an insert in issue 9 of Pokémon Fan magazine, released on September 18, 2009. The graphic on this Japanese promotional version displays the Pokémon Card Game LEGEND series logo and SoulSilver Collection logo.

An exclusive Cosmos Holofoil print of this card was included in the English Ember Spark Theme Deck. An exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil print of this card was included in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series Collection released November 2010. This card was later reprinted in the Call of Legends expansion with new artwork by the same artist.
