Release information
This card was first released in each of the Japanese V Starter Sets. The English print was first released in the Sword & Shield expansion, along with Full Art and Secret prints, which all feature artwork by kirisAki. All three Sword & Shield prints originate from the Japanese Shield expansion. A Non Holofoil reprint of the Regular print was released in the Japanese Sword & Shield Premium Trainer Box. A Non Holofoil variant of the English Sword & Shield print was included in the Sword & Shield Build & Battle Box.
In Japan, a Mirror Holofoil S-P Promotional version of the Regular print was made available in the first phase of the "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card" campaign, which was set up in response to events that had been canceled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. From April 3, 2020, customers who purchased more than ¥1,500 worth of eligible Pokémon TCG products at participating Pokémon Card Gym stores could choose to receive this card or a Mirror Holofoil Team Yell Grunt card. All visitors to participating stores were also given a "Have Fun. Spring, Pokémon Card" sticker. The campaign ran for as long as stocks lasted. Stores that closed following the state of emergency that came into effect on April 8, 2020 resumed the campaign after the lockdown ended; stores that were able continued the campaign online. This print also has a gold foil Pokémon Card Gym stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork. Another Non Holofoil reprint of the Regular print was available in each of the Japanese V Starter Decks as well as the Japanese Legendary Heartbeat subset.
The Regular print was reprinted as a Holofoil in the Champion's Path expansion. The Regular print was reprinted, alongside a new Full Art card with artwork by Naoki Saito, in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset. Another S-P Promotional print with different artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma was released in the Japanese Marnie's Practice Trainer Card Collection on November 20, 2020. The Sword & Shield Regular print was reprinted as a Non Holofoil in the Japanese Venusaur & Blastoise VMAX Starter Sets, in a second version of the Japanese Charizard VMAX Starter Set from the VMAX Battle Triple Starter Set, and in the Single Strike & Rapid Strike Premium Trainer Boxes.
