Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Watchermark!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

 • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
 • Read over the style primer before making your edits. It is a basic outline of Bulbapedia style. For a more in-depth set of rules, see the manual of style.
 • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
 • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
 • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
 • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
 • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
 • The use of link templates is official policy.
 • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
 • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
 • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
 • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
 • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Watchermark/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
 • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
 • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! ----PAK Man Talk 18:16, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Link templates

Please use them when linking to articles about moves, Pokémon, abilities, and others. A full list of them can be found here. Thank you. --PAK Man Talk 20:33, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, Croconaw instead of just Croconaw. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

For a full crash course on link templates, look at the list of link templates. --Shiningpikablu252 22:32, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Again. You linked to a page as Weavile when it should have been Weavile. This is important, so be sure you take the time to look at the list of link templates and figure everything out. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 21:37, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
This is the fourth time you have been told to use link templates. The link should be Chatter not Chatter. Please follow them or next time, there will be consequences. Also, its and it's DO NOT equal each other and cannot be replaced by one another. Its is the possesive forme and It's means it is, please make sure to use the correct forme. MoldyOrange 01:31, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Even if you DO use templates, use them CORRECTLY. Teleport, not Teleport. ht14 22:26, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I'm really sorry about any problems I've caused. I am still new to this, but I promise I will take extra care in future - unsigned comment from Watchermark (talkcontribs)

you have broken your promise. seriously, use link templates. and sign your comments with four tildes (~ x4) -- MAGNEDETH 01:28, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Again, please use link templates. In your edits in DP096, you did not use it. Link templates makes edit easier (eg. Cynthia instead of Garchomp, Arceus instead of PokéGod) and it's a policy. Thank you. Toxicroak Colors

There is absoultely no evidence that the anime is treating the coloration as seen on Saturn's Toxicroak from DP069, a dead ringer for the game's alternate coloration scheme, as the normal coloration. Don't put in information saying such.

For all we know, the Pokédex displaying the same color could be a new feature of the Pokédex allowing the Pokédex to display color matches for alternate-coloration species. From what could be told, the DP069 Toxicroak is indeed of the alternate coloration. As far as DP086 goes, that Toxicroak was presented as a flashback, and it could be Saturn's Toxicroak lent to somebody else, or it could be a coloring error (they've gotten wrong details in flashbacks before). There's nothing in that episode to outright deny that the anime is treating the game's alternate coloration for Toxicroak as the normal coloration.

Trust me, if Saturn's Toxicroak is indeed not meant to be of the alternate coloration, its colors will be switched to the game's normal coloration the next time it appears. The odds of that are unlikely, since if Saturn's Toxicroak really were meant to be normal-colored, its colors would have been changed when DP069 aired dubbed...--Shiningpikablu252 16:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Please don't add the Pokedex entries to the Pokémon pages. There is a seperate page for that. I just can't find it yet. Its and It's

Anime Dex Project

Hi, I saw that you deleted all of the entries for no Pokédex entry. I had a method going and now you messed it up by deleting all of those. When I redo it all please do not delete them. –MasterKenobi 00:03, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok sorry. Won't happen again. Watchermark 09:31, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

DP002 and DP003

I may be a little late noticing this, but I found that you expanded the synopsis for DP002 with parts from DP003. Is there a specific reason why? When I revised the DP002 synopsis, I wrote it as I watched the episode from the DVD. That episode ended with a shot of Paul, not with Team Rocket taking Pikachu. --rockersk08 00:11, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

I must have been watching the combined version, which had different cut-off points. I've corrected this, apologies. Watchermark 21:02, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Anime Pokédex entries

Please, when adding anime dex entries, put a title in it, and also italicize Diamond & Pearl. For example:

Pokédex entries

DP121 Snover Ash's Pokédex Snover, the Frost Tree Pokémon. Snover live mainly on snowy mountains with little human contact, but are known to approach people out of curiosity.

Thanks. -- RikkiKitsune 23:52, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon templates

There are some things you should know about the Anime Pokémon template. You need to start putting the correct coding so that it looks right. For example: When you have a person with only one Pokémon, be sure that you put b after note=. In other words, note=b. B stands for body. If you have multiple Pokémon, the first box should always have note=h, h standing for header and the last box should have note=f, f standing for footer. For the boxes in between the header and the footer, leave the note= blank. Hope this makes sense to you. Ask me if you have anymore questions. --ケンジガール 23:25, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Also, while we are on the subject, categorize the images you upload for those templates: every image needs categorized by Pokémon name in order to organize all the images. More often than not, there is already an image of whatever you are uploading, so just categorize and I will take care of duplicates. MaverickNate 23:27, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Befriended Pokémon for main characters

We don't do that. It's not allowed. The only main character that's allowed to have befriended Pokémon noted is Max. --ケンジガール 20:17, 12 November 2009 (UTC) Ok, sorry about that. But I do feel that the Lake Guardians should be added to the rosters somewhere as they were actually commanded by the main characters during DP152. Watchermark 00:42, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Is it still ok for me to add pictures (say for Pokémon bios on the COTD pages) or switch JPG images with PNGs Watchermark 01:51, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Image relinks

Would you mind replacing all occurrences of those jpgs with the new pngs and then tagging the files on the Archives for deletion? It would save me running after you. This includes other people's userpages. Cheers. —darklordtrom 11:19, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Can I possibly ask you some image requests. I've seen some of your uploads, and I'm very impressed. If you can take requests, I'll have you some right here: picture of Eusine's Alakazam, pics for Team Go-Getters's move templates, and better resolution versions from Blaine's Magmar's move pics and Gary's Blastoise's main pic. Hey

Just wanted to remind you of the image reversion policy. You did not ask before changing the image on Ash's Heracross - and it has also been decided that the old image was better - thus it has been reverted. Please refrain from doing the same in the future. Thanks! 梅子 00:53, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that. My browser was still showing the 'Heracross sucking on Bulbasaur' picture... but you're right. I should have asked first. I won't forget in future.Watchermark 09:10, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Wynaut Splash?!

Why do you hink Wynaut used Splash, i have changed it by the way but still it is seen deflecting attacks, and Splash does not do that, explain why it used Splash other than Safeguard, she did not even call the attack so how do you know?! 15:53 Roryrules123 5 September 2010 (UTC)

There's a few reasons that I believe that Wynaut was using Splash and not Safeguard. First, Wynaut was jumping up and down which is how Splash works in the anime (as it did in EP158). Second, Dawn's Togekiss has used Safeguard several times recently and it's always been shown to produce a green forcefield whereas Wynaut's feet were simply glowing when it deflects the Poison Sting. Third, if Wynaut was using Safeguard then it wouldn't have got poisoned. Because of these I am certain Splash was being used. I appreciate that Splash is supposed to do nothing but the anime has been known to take liberties with the way moves work. Watchermark 16:13, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Ok, good enough reason, sorry about the shouting :) 11:55 Roryrules123 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Episode article editing while airing

We wish that you wouldn't edit the episode articles until the episode has finished airing. Other users are trying to add the information all at once to avoid repeated saving. That way, the article can be saved with all the information after the episode's airing. So if you would kindly in the future, please wait until an episode is finished airing before editing. Thank you. --ケンジガール 10:18, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

PS: That also means waiting until after the preview is shown. So we can add miscellaneous information such as narration trivia and Oak's lecture. --ケンジガール 10:26, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Your edit to EP002

I saw your edit to EP002, where you replaced most uses of "Misty" with "the girl". While Misty's name was not known until later in the episode, her name is known now, and I believe we should use it in order to minimize confusion. Pokegen master (talk) 01:29, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Genders

You been here long enough to know this, genders are only confirmed through either by being explicitly stated or through Attract/Cute Charm. Gender stereotypes is not how we determine genders, a guy can act like a girl (and vice versa) and the act of attraction is not the same as the move Attract.--ForceFire 04:43, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

I was actually determining Pinsir's gender not through its actions but the fact that Heracross had a male horn and the anime has stated explicitly that attraction only occurs between males and females.Watchermark (talk) 13:04, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Donald Trump 2024

Donald J. Trump launched the most extraordinary political movement in history, dethroning political dynasties, defeating the Washington Establishment, and becoming the first true outsider elected as President of the United States. His inspiring, groundbreaking campaign proved pollsters, pundits, prognosticators, and the corporate media spectacularly wrong. He mobilized voters with massive rallies, reached America's hearts and minds with his vision for national rejuvenation, and overcame virtually every entrenched power structure—political and financial—and achieved a decisive victory, winning states no Republican presidential candidate had won in decades.

The forgotten men and women of America were forgotten no more because we finally had a President who put America First.

Through his pro-American policies on trade, taxes, energy, regulation, immigration, and healthcare, President Trump ushered in a period of unprecedented economic growth, job creation, soaring wages, and booming incomes. Median household income reached its highest level ever recorded. Middle-class family income increased more than five times from the previous administration. Unemployment reached its lowest rate in half a century. African-American, Hispanic-American, and Asian-American unemployment reached their lowest levels ever recorded. And more Americans were employed than ever before.

President Trump boldly unleashed American energy, and our Nation soon became the world's number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world. America's newfound Energy Independence not only meant historically-low energy prices, but also bolstered our economic and national security. At the center of this pro-American energy vision was a robust commitment to environmental conservation, renewable energy production, prioritizing the clean-up of major pollution sites, and investing billions in clean water infrastructure. Under President Trump, America led the world in reducing carbon emissions. As a steward of our natural resources, President Trump signed the Great Outdoors Act, the most significant investment in our national parks since Theodore Roosevelt's presidency and joined the One Trillion Trees Initiative to protect and restore one trillion trees by 2030.

As President, he was an unwavering champion for our Nation's heroes in uniform. He always stood proudly with our Nation's extraordinary and courageous police officers, sheriffs, and law enforcement professionals. He fought relentlessly for our Nation's military service members and invested trillions of dollars in the American Armed Forces to ensure our warriors had the tools, support, and resources they need. He fundamentally reformed the Department of Veterans Affairs, ending the past era of scandal and ensuring our Nation's treasured Veterans were given the treatment and care they have earned and deserve.

Understanding that border security is national security, President Trump achieved the most secure border in United States history and signed a series of historic agreements with our partners in the Western Hemisphere to stop smuggling, trafficking, and illegal migration. He fundamentally reformed the H-1B program to protect American workers and families. He restored the principle that newcomers to our country must be financially self-sufficient. He empowered Immigration and Customs Enforcement to dismantle criminal gangs and deport dangerous offenders who threaten our communities. He ended systemic asylum fraud, reduced refugee admissions to sustainable levels, blocked the entry of terrorists and national security threats, and banned unsafe travel from regions where proper screening and vetting cannot occur. No President has done more to build an immigration system that promotes safety, dignity, security, and prosperity for the American People.

By restoring America's prestige and advancing a policy of principled realism, he forged historic peace agreements in the Middle East, withdrew troops from endless conflicts, confronted oppressive communist and socialist regimes, advanced stability around the world, and strengthened the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and other international alliances and partnerships by getting other nations to contribute their fair share.

When the coronavirus plague arrived from China, afflicting every nation around the globe, President Trump acted early and decisively to ban travel from China and Europe, which saved countless lives. He launched the greatest national industrial mobilization since World War II, refilling our depleted stockpiles of medical supplies, bringing our critical supply chains back home, pioneering life-saving medical treatments in record time, leveraging the Defense Production Act, mass producing and mass distributing masks, gowns, gloves, and other protective equipment, and getting new breakthrough therapies into the hands of hospitals, doctors, and patients. President Trump, from scratch, built the most robust testing system in the world and, at his direction, temporary hospitals and new medical beds were built from scratch to keep hospitals from overcrowding. Aggressive action was taken to get critical supplies to nursing homes in order to protect the most vulnerable among us. Through Operation Warp Speed, the Manhattan Project for vaccines, two different and powerfully-effective vaccine candidates were approved in record time, with more vaccines following quickly on their heels—a true medical miracle. In order to get these doses to the population as quickly as possible, all of the leading vaccine candidates were manufactured in advance—an industrial breakthrough that further saved countless lives.

Whether it was combating the virus, fighting foreign terrorists, creating jobs, securing America's borders, unleashing American energy, revitalizing American patriotism, or restoring the American spirit, President Trump never wavered in defense of our values, our families, our traditions, and our freedom.

President Trump knows that as long as we remain faithful to our citizens, our country, and our God, then America's best days are yet to come.

However, radical Democrats and RINOs are attacking Trump and causing the country to decline into crime and socialism. Will you be a patriot and donate $100 to Donald Trump 2024?
