The Legendary Trainer is a recurring character in Pokémon Horizons: The Series. Although he is considered a legend, he was the main reason Roy wanted to become a Trainer and a mystery during the course of the series.

History

The Legendary Trainer is first mentioned by Roy when describing his feats to Liko in HZ004. According to him, the Trainer traveled through different regions and captured several Legendary Pokémon and treasures around the world.

He briefly appeared in a flashback in HZ006 when Roy told his grandfather his dreams.

In HZ012, Lucca revealed that the six-Pokémon party limit originates from an ancient adventurer having traveled together with six Pokémon long ago.
