The player can ride on Pokémon in various Pokémon games.

Pokémon X and Y

In Pokémon X and Y, certain areas allow you to ride a specific Pokémon within that particular area only. Some of the Pokémon have special abilities within that area. The player cannot ride their own Pokémon even if they own a Pokémon of the same species.

Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon

In the Alola region, certain Pokémon are trained as Ride Pokémon to help people travel or perform other tasks. This custom is known as the PokéRide. In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, the player can call Ride Pokémon by registering them to the Ride Pager.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the player can ride on five Ride Pokémon to travel across Hisui.
