The Start in New Bark
Beginning my journey in New Bark Town, in Johto, I choose Cyndaquil as my starter Pokémon. Calm and shy, the Fire Mouse Pokémon and I try a lot of times to catch some Bug-type in Route 30, but it fails until we find a fierce wild Larvitar which uses a powerful Hyper Beam at us and escapes.
- Feniceo starts his journey as a Pokémon Trainer through Johto with a Cyndaquil.
- Feniceo meets Larvitar for the first time.
First Friend
Quickly we run to the Pokémon Center in Cherrygrove City. Nurse Joy does her work and takes care of my little Cyndaquil. While waiting the night to come outside the center, a happy group of Five Star Pokémon flies around me and show me how beautiful is the wild and freedom, so I learn that quietly I’ll find my dream’s Pokémon Team. This wish is turning on truth, ‘cause one of the Ledyba just befriends with me, then when I meet Cyndaquil again there’s a new partner to presents to it. In the morning after, I decide to train my new Pokémon, which against Cyndaquil shows its power.

Confirmation of a Dream
Already in Violet City I run for my first Gym Battle. At the Gym:

Rock Skin Cave
Traveling, I go to the Union Cave, where I fight many Trainers and find some wild Pokémon. The same Larvitar I met at Route 30 defeats my Ledyba and escapes again.
- Cyndaquil learns Quick Attack.
- Ledyba learns Light Screen.
- Feniceo meets Larvitar for the second time.
Sky Is Above
On Route 33 some Cottonweed Pokémon flies in the sky, this is when I decide to catch one of them.
- Feniceo catches a Hoppip.
Right Evolution in Right Situation
Now I come back to my hometown, Azalea, where I meet my parents and stay for two days training my new Hoppip, which evolves into Skiploom after battles against my childhood’s friends. In the third day, I go to the Azalea Gym battle for my second badge.
- Feniceo meets his parents for the first time after became a trainer.
- Feniceo’s Hoppip evolves into Skiploom.
- Feniceo Hatchers challenges Leader Bugsy at the Azalea Gym:
- Feniceo’s Skiploom defeats Bugsy’s Metapod using Bullet Seed.
- Feniceo’s Skiploom fights against Bugsy’s Kakuna, before being recalled by Feniceo.
- Feniceo’s Ledyba defeats Bugsy’s Kakuna using Comet Punch.
- Bugsy’s Scyther defeats Feniceo’s Ledyba using Vacuum Wave.
- Feniceo’s Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava and defeats Bugsy’s Scyther using Quick Attack followed by Ember.

In the Ilex We Learn
I pass through the Route 34 and meet the Ilex Forest, where I fight some trainers and discover some new wild Pokémon. Training a lot with my new Quilava and Skiploom, I meet Larvitar and throw my Poké Ball to catch it... The ball almost fix it into, the Rock Skin Pokémon escapes.
- Quilava learns Flame Wheel.
- Skiploom learns Leech Seed.
- Ledyba evolves into Ledian after learning Mach Punch.
- Feniceo meets Larvitar for the third time and failed to catch it.
Fighting for the Plain
At the Goldenrod City we challenge Whitney for a battle.

- Whitney’s Clefairy defeats Feniceo’s Skiploom using Metronome.
- Feniceo’s Ledian defeats Whitney’s Clefairy using Mach Punch.
- Feniceo’s Ledian defeats Whitney’s Miltank in a hard battle using Supersonic and Mach Punch.

I’m Bug-Mareeping
Entering the National Park I meet a cute sick Mareep behind a tree, quickly I take it for a Pokémon Center and we befriend. In the next morning happens the Bug-Catching Contest, in which I enter using Quilava. My new friend Mareep becomes very angry and jealous, asking for the place as the Pokémon in contest. And we do it, taking the 14th place catching a Venonat.
- Feniceo catches a Mareep.
- Feniceo enters the Bug-Catching Contest, but don’t takes any prize.
Thirty-Six! Finally Someone
In the Route 36 I meet Larvitar again, but now I’m decided to catch it. Quilava almost faints but charges its rage and finally I capture the dual-type Rock/Ground Pokémon.
- Feniceo meets Larvitar for the forth time.
- Quilava learns Fire Blast.
- Feniceo catches a Larvitar.
The Shadow and the Thunder
Arrive in Ecruteak City I have to choose which Pokémon is better against Ghost-type. I know Normal-type and physical moves aren’t effective. Then, the Gym is where I go, and there I look for it.

- Feniceo’s Mareep evolves into Flaaffy.
- Feniceo’s Flaaffy defeats Morty’s Gastly using Thunderbolt.
- Feniceo’s Flaaffy defeats Morty’s Haunter using Thunderbolt.
- Feniceo’s Flaaffy fights against Morty’s Gengar before being recalled by Feniceo.
- Morty’s Gengar defeats Feniceo’s Skiploom using Shadow Punch.
- Morty’s Gengar defeats Feniceo’s Quilava using Sucker Punch.
- Feniceo’s Flaaffy defeats Morty’s Gengar using Thunderbolt.

Run Run Run
After a hard Gym Battle, I decided to train all of my team. Routes are the best places for catch Pokémon and battle another trainers. In 38 and 39 some of my Pokémon battle a lot and raises their powers.

- Skiploom evolves into Jumpluff after learning Mega Drain.
- Flaaffy learns Cotton Spore and Charge.

The Shock of the Lightning
In Olivine City Flaaffy gets hypnotized by the lighthouse which illuminates the Olivine Port. An Ampharos is the one which do it. Its trainer is Jasmine, also the leader of Olivine Gym.

Passing through the sea on Routes 40 and 41, I arrive in Cianwood City to get another badge.

A Friend in Need
I return to Ecruteak City and get the way to the Mt. Mortar. Battling many trainers I fight against Cyrus, a trainer from Azalea Town who started his journey the same time I did. Choosing Chikorita as his starter Pokémon, he has the badges I have.
- Feniceo Hatchers meets Cyrus Pierre II for the first time and challenges him in a double battle:
After the battle, we promised each other to gain the eight badges and encounter again in the Silver Conference.

Some trainers challenge me in Route 44 and I battle them. Continuing to travelling through the route, a Mystic Pokémon starts to follow me, it’s like I’m smelling food... However, I catch it!!

- Ampharos learns ThunderPunch.
- Pupitar learns Earthquake.
- Feniceo catches a Xatu.
Wondering like a Cold Child
Snow and Jynx are what I see in the Ice Path, trying to catch some of these cold Pokémon, one of them fall in love with me... Oh my God!! Well, I know i’ts a Human Shape but... I wonder how these “Gender: 100% female” can breed without a male counterpart at least. If anyone knows the answer, give it to me.
Seeing a Friend Again and Again
Ok, arriving in Blackthorn City I meet Cyrus again. With his newly evolved Meganium, wonder why I still don’t have my Typhlosion. I just love my Pokémon the way they are now, evolving or not, I will always be with them. Again we battle each other, using only one, both the starters.

- Cyrus’s Meganium easily defeats Feniceo’s Quilava using SolarBeam.
Cyrus is in Blackthorn for the Rising Badge, telling me how strong is Clair, the Gym Leader. He invites me to watch the battle, and I accept.

- Cyrus’s Teddiursa fights against Clair’s Dragonair before being recalled by Cyrus.
- Cyrus’s Togetic defeats Clair’s Dragonair using Metronome.

- Cyrus’s Teddiursa defeats Clair’s Kingdra using Sweet Scent and Focus Punch.

Knowing the power of both Cyrus and Clair, I gotta make a strategy to defeat the Dragon Pokémon of the Leader. Cyrus is so curious to see my battle, and I accept.

Exchanging Desires
In the morning after, Cyrus and I decide to travel together til the Mt. Silver, home of the Silver Conference. Before getting out of Blackthorn, Cyrus shows his impressions about Xatu in battle, saying it will be a honor trade it with me. I never train Xatu, that was the first battle using the Mystic Pokémon, however, I accept to trade with his strong Togetic.
- Feniceo Hatchers trades his Xatu for Cyrus’s Togetic.
After the trade Cyrus challenges me for a battle using the new Pokémon.

High School Pokémon
Back in New Bark we meet Professor Elm, who gets surprised when see my “not-evolved yet” Quilava and the fully evolved Cyrus’s Meganium. With Professor Elm we learn some things about the Silver Conference. There’s a month to pass in New Bark before the event, so we decided to train a lot together.
