Stargazer Colosseum, host of the Masters Battle

The Masters Battle is a match type in Pokémon Battle Revolution held in Stargazer Colosseum, after the player wins the Pokétopia Championship. The Masters Battle consists of eight sets of four trainers, with a Colosseum Master heading each set. All the trainers in the Masters Battle use highly advanced combinations and tactics, and may need a specific approach to defeat. Initially, only Set 1 will be unlocked. The trainer must beat each Set to unlock the next Set and can rechallange any unlocked Set at anytime. On a side note, Mysterial's team, who appear heading Sets 4 and 8, changes depending on whether the player used Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl in transferring their Pokémon to Pokémon Battle Revolution.

Intelligence in a CPU trainer has never before been seen on a level such as this. All battles may need to be approached from a different angle in order to win. Above all, none of the Masters Battle trainers are to be taken lightly.

The list below contains all known Pokémon, moves, items and abilities used by each trainer in Masters Battle - Sets 1 though 4.

• Jaden usually sends her Tentacruel or Drapion out first to deliver Acupressure to one of her Pokémon. If she sends out Tentacruel or Drapion on her first turn, they should be your priority target. The other Pokémon will most likely use Protect.
• Watch out for her Seaking, which knows the one-hit KO move, Horn Drill.

BATTLE TIPS:

• Sashay's Set 2 team mainly revolves around using Spite and Pressure to deplete your Pokémon's PP value very quickly. She also uses Protect and Double Team greatly. It's a good idea to bring a fast Pokémon that knows moves that cannot miss, such as Aerial Ace, Shadow Punch, Swift, or Aura Sphere.
• A very good idea is to make use of the move Taunt, since few of her Pokémon even have damaging attacks to begin with.
• If you are quick enough, it is possible to take down her team without taking a single hit!

• Lincoln's team utilizes Psych Up to distribute large stat changes through his team. Try focusing on the Pokémon distributing the stats: Azumarill, Clefable and Spiritomb.

• Lyle usually starts off by sending out his Golem or Steelix and one of his Ghost-type Pokémon. If he does this, he will order his Golem or Steelix to use Explosion, which will not damage his Ghost-type partner. If you have any Pokémon that knows Protect, Detect, or is Ghost-type you may want to send them out first to take the blast.
• You may also use a combination of Fake Out and a strong Fighting-type move to take his Golem/Steelix down the first turn.

• Kruger's battle plan follows a very predictable pattern (At least for me). He will start by sending out his Ambipom and Drapion first. His Ambipom will use Fake Out, while his Drapion will use Swords Dance. Next, his Ambipom will use Fling on his Drapion, to increase it's Critical Ratio. Try to take out the Ambipom ASAP so that he can't do that.
