Ember (Japanese: ひのこ Sparks) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Ember does damage and has a 9.8% chance of burning the target. Ember cannot burn a target that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II - Generation IV
The effects of Ember continue into the current generation, however, it has a 10% chance of burning the target.
