Trivia
- In the anime, Mismagius was seen to give everybody nightmares. The only way that a Mismagius can have the move itself in Generation IV is by transferring a Misdreavus which has been tutored the move forward from Generation III, or a Misdreavus that has been tutored in Platinum.
Origin
Like Murkrow, Mismagius is based off of a witch.
Name origin
Mismagius's name is derived from mischief and magus. Mumage is a portmanteau of the words 夢魔 muma, nightmare, and mage.
In other languages
- German: Traunmagil - From Traum (dream) and Magie (magic).
- French: Magireve - From magie (magic) and rêve (dream).
