Stunky (Japanese: スカンプー Skunpoo) is a dual-type Poison/Dark Pokémon.
It evolves into Skuntank starting at level 34.
Biology
Physiology
Stunky are small mammalian Pokémon that are dark purple with a white stripe running down their backs. Their faces have feline like features including the ears that may relate to Skunks being called polecats.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
It protects itself by spraying a foul smelling liquid from its hindquarters which lasts for twenty-four hours. This is a defensive tactic and not an actual attack which means it cannot be deflected.
Behavior
If threatened, they use their smell to deter would-be attackers. It is shown in A Secret Sphere of Influence! that Stunky does a handstand before and when it sprays like a Spotted Skunk.

Stunky first appeared in A Secret Sphere of Influence!, where it belonged to Officer Jenny.
Stunky was also seen under Reggie's care in Lost Leader Strategy!.
Another Stunky was shown to be under the command of a different Officer Jenny in Losing Its Lustrous!.
A Stunky also appeared in DP125.
A Stunky is owned by one of the students of Snowpoint Trainers' School in DP126.

It is based on a skunk, likely a hognosed skunk.
Name origin
Stunky's name comes from the words skunk or "stunk" and stinky. Skunpoo's name comes from the words skunk and pyoo, which is what someone says when something stinks.
