Synopsis

Template:Japanese version The episode started with the Battle Pyramid in the sky, with Team Rocket holding on to it. Brandon asked Ash if he knew the legend of the Snowpoint Temple. Mikoto explained that it happened long ago. A volcano erupted violently and burned Snowpoint City to a fire pool. In front of a blue light appeared Regigigas. Not only that, Regice, Regirock, and Registeel also appeared to protect the city. Regigigas then went into a deep sleep and the Regi trio turned into pillars in Snowpoint Temple. Brandon suggested that the person behind that is aiming for Regigigas. Meanwhile, Team Rocket heard it and decided to capture Regigigas and present it to Giovanni but they accidentally let go and fell off. Samuel showed Snowpoint Temple on a screen and everybody saw Hunter J. Brandon explained to Mikoto that J was the one who treated Pokémon as tools. Brandon also explained to the gang that they came here to do research on the legend. J's henchmen saw the Battle Pyramid and informed J. Inside the temple, J told her henchmen not to let them get near, so they sent many Metang and Skarmory to attack the Pyramid using Sludge Bomb and Flash Cannon, respectively. One of the engines was hit and the Pyramid fell to the ground. Brandon, Mikoto and the gang went off with a small airship while Samuel stayed in the Pyramid to repair it. Pikachu used Thunderbolt on the Skarmory and Piplup used BubbleBeam on the Metang. After defeating J's henchmen's Pokémon, the gang ran in the temple.

Meanwhile, J saw the three pillars. J sent out Salamence and commanded it to use Hyper Beam. The ice and rock pillars were soon destroyed. As Salamence was about to destroy the steel pillar, Brandon asked it to stop. Mikoto explained that awakening Regigigas will put everything in danger. However, Salamence soon destroyed the steel pillar and a crystal ball-like object began glowing. Regigigas was still not awakened and J commanded Salamence to use Flamethrower and a triangle begun glowing. A red light appeared from the triangle and Regigigas appeared. It then began using Hyper Beam. Just as J was about to turn Regigigas to stone using her bracelet, Regigigas used Hyper Beam at her. This was countered with by her Salamence's Dragon Pulse. J then retreated as Regigigas started to go on a rampage. As the temple started to collapse and rocks were about to fell on them, Brandon sent out his Regirock, Regice and Registeel. Regirock used Focus Punch, Regice used Zap Cannon and Registeel used Iron Head to destroys the rocks. They then fled the temple.

The exit was blocked but Regigigas managed to get out. Regigigas continued to use Hyper Beam. Brandon decided to capture it to calm it down. The legendary golems used Hyper Beam on Regigigas and Regigigas countered it with its Hyper Beam. The Regis then started to attack together but Regigigas pinned them down. Registeel and Regirock then grabbed hold of Regigigas and Regice used Ice Beam, freezing Regigigas. J was overlooking them and stated that it would be better to use their power to help her weaken Regigigas. Regigigas, however, managed to defrost. Regice then used Zap Cannon and Regigigas was paralyzed. After that, Registeel used Iron Head and Regigigas fell. Regirock used Stone Edge, making Regigigas very weak. Just as Brandon was about to capture Regigigas with a Poké Ball, J's Ariados used its web to tie them up. After J returned Ariados to its Poké Ball, Regigigas's eyes began to glow and so did the Regis'. Regirock and Regice then used Zap Cannon and Registeel used Flash Cannon to attack J. Mikoto explained that it was the same as the legend, the Regis had become the guardian of Regigigas. The four legendary Pokémon then started to go away from the temple, so J followed them.

All four Pokémon started to attack the mountains using Hyper Beam together. Brandon tried to return his Pokémon to their Poké Ball but it failed. Regice then used Zap Cannon at Brandon but, luckily, Brandon dodged it. Dawn explained that it seems the four Regis were heading towards the city.

Once it the forest, the Regis start using Hyper Beam. Team Rocket still have plans to capture Regigigas but Registeel blasted them off using Flash Cannon. Back near the temple, Piplup tries to bite the web while Brandon, Ash and Pikachu struggled to break free. Brock then had an idea. He told Mikoto that he is happy to be with her and he would never let go of the web that tied them together. Croagunk then came out and used Poison Jab on him, breaking the web. Over the Battle Pyramid's speaker, Samuel explained that the Pyramid needed more time to repair. Brandon then told him to inform Officer Jenny to protect the city.

Meanwhile, J uses her airship to get ahead of the legendary Pokémon. She and her henchmen were ready to capture Regigigas. The four Regis then reached the area where she was. J's airship then shot lasers at them and the Regis countered it with Hyper Beam. The lasers managed to shoot them though. After that, the airship shot gum at Regigigas trapping it. Regigigas then used Hyper Beam, destroying one of the airship's engines. The three Regis continued to use Hyper Beam at J but J managed to dodge all of them. Just as J was about to use her bracelet to turn Regigigas to stone, Regirock protected it, and Registeel soon after, and finally Regice, turning to stone in the process. With no one to protect Regigigas, J used the bracelet once again, however, Brandon jumped down and was hit by the light, turning him to stone too. Regigigas caught him before he hit the ground. J used her bracelet once again but Pikachu used Thunderbolt and Piplup used BubbleBeam. Salamence countered with Dragon Pulse. Regigigas got free of the gum and stood in front of the airship. It deflected the Dragon Pulse back to Salamence. J's bracelet was destroyed in the process. Just as J was about to attack Regigigas once more, her henchmen replied that her client decided to cancel his deal with J. Immediately, she and her henchmen left the area. Mikoto went up to Regigigas and apologized it for awakening it and asked it to help them. It then agreed and used its powers to remove their petrification . After being thanked by Brandon, it turned back into an orb.

Just as the sun was about to set, the group returned to Snowpoint Temple. Brandon said that, to prevent Regigigas from awakening again, he will rebuild the temple and let Regice, Registeel and Regirock protect it, just like the legend. Brandon told Mikoto that they will work together to protect the sleeping Regigigas.
