Some Bulbapedia members have formed a project to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about Pokémon Trading Cards. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page or the Bulbapedia forum.

Project TCGdex

Scope and aims

Project TCGDex covers all entries and articles about every Pokémon cards, Trainer cards and Energy Cards from the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Its goal is to produce the most comprehensive database on all Pokémon Trading Cards, from basic information on to the most technical aspects possible.

Participants

To join the project, simply add your name to the bottom of this list:

A name in italics is for an active admin; a name in bold is for an active user. Also, active users who know a lot about the project are at the top under the founder.

• Plau - Founder; return from the dead, quite a few old cards. Adding anything that's missing.
• Maverick Nate - Various things that will hopefully get done soon. Project Leader.
• Cipher - Preparing articles for the release of Bonds to the End of Time in May 2009. PUI caught me out with Platinum.
• shiningpikablu252 - Working on various odds and ends. Also does some of TTEchidna's dirty work. Given that most of my physical card collection consists of cards whose articles already have images, you won't be seeing many images from me...
• Politoed666 - Working on occasional needed scans, occasionally writing articles.
• TTEchidna - Making sure everything runs smoothly.
• Kogoro - Tons of cards from Base Set to Stormfront, planning to scan as many as possible!
• JessTehSkox - Been working on a lot of older card articles....mostly the Origins sections, since it seemed odd to have such a section on all the TCG articles that's completely empty on 95% of them!
• Ultamatecharizard - I got a big drawer of cards and I'll help out little by little.
• Nick15 - I started a good portion of the articles on the earliest sets, as well as contributed information to many others. I still have a lot of clear memories on the sets, cards and games and spend what spare time I have fixing errors. I'm also laying the foundation on all the artiicles relating to fake cards and the making of fakes.

Link templates

These link templates are particularly useful for making lists of the cards available in the different sets or theme decks.

• {{TCG}} - This link template is for cards which appear widely in the game, such as energy cards. To use this link template, type in {{TCG|Card Name}}. For example, {{TCG|Dark Metal Energy}} would result in Dark Metal Energy.
• {{TCG ID}} - This link template is for cards which appear in only certain sets, such as Pokémon cards and trainer cards. To use this link template, type in {{TCG ID|Set Name|Card Name|Number}}. For example, {{TCG ID|Base Set|Charizard|4}} would result in Charizard.
• {{ct}} - This link template is to link to the TCG types, much like the {{type2}} template links to types from the handheld games.
