Koume

Why is it written "Koume" instead of "Kōme" in the japanese names from games? -- RikkiKitsune 20:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Sometimes, "ou" means a long "o" sound; in this case, we romanize as "ō". Other times, "o" and "u" are actually separate syllables, so we use "ou". Koume is a case of the latter. It's Ko-ume, not Kō-me.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 00:38, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Battle again

can you only battle them once in Heartgold and Soulsilver? or can you get rematches after the whole Ho-Oh/Lugia event?--Darknesslover5000 00:26, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Pretty sure it's just the once.--Pokélova! 02:25, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Zuki in the Pokethlon

I know for a fact that when I was in a Pokethlon, I battled Zuki. She had the same team as Kuni except the Espeon and Umbreon were switched around. --Burgundy 08:09, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't see why would the game data lie me. It's impossible for something to be inside the game without being in the data. There would be some additional text with "Zuki" other than her dialogue and there isn't. --Maxim 08:21, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Maybe it's game specific. Is that from HeartGold or SoulSilver. I found Zuki on SoulSilver --Burgundy 02:31, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
My rip is from SS, actually. Though it's the same thing, actually. It contains HG-only passages as well. Also, I've searched through for タマオ in Japanese text rip. Also found nothing other than dialogues and Trainer list. Sure, it IS possible that the part of data which includes her in Pokeathlon is somehow hidden or that both my rips are somehow incomplete. But I found no evidence that it might be the case, I also searched through the Internet, found some pages which list important trainers in Pokeathlon (like this Japanese wiki) but I haven't found anything that would point to the existence of Zuki in HGSS's Pokeathlon. Are you sure that it wasn't Kuni? Have you "seen" her more than once? --Maxim 16:03, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for interruption but I've SoulSilver, and I have never seen Zuki in the Pokéathlon, but I have seen Kuni many times. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 16:10, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Mine's allegedly from HeartGold (didn't do it myself) and it has exactly what Maxim said. —darklordtrom 05:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Well, I've only seen Zuki once, in the Skill Competition. I'm pretty sure it was her, but I suppose I have no proof.--Burgundy

Unrelated Kimono Girl?

Two websites say a "Kimono Girl Mickey" exists in Crystal, with two Skiploom (lv 20 and 18) and a lv 20 Vulpix. Is she really in the game-play, is it she dummy data? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 23:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Maybe neither. It's entirely possible you're looking at a Battle Tower trainer. Can't 100% verify this, though...--Shiningpikablu252 01:44, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I doubt that. I'm actually amalgamating two games. It's a second Naoko character in Crystal with that team (which makes it suspect dummy data); the character is Mickey in HGSS. The character and her same team exist in two games. You won't find a team of three with varying levels that low anywhere in the BF, and at those levels, the character would have to be met after the Kimono girls in Crystal, and before them in HGSS, if it is in-game. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 02:28, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
All dummy-data trainers are named Mickey in HGSS (in Japanese Satoshi). I dunno, maybe it's worth mentioning, as we mention Cal's unused teams in his article. Also, I've got a concern on one more thing - should this article have that (Trainer class) in the title? It isn't typical trainer class article, as it also has a large anime section, it's way more detailed than Class articles. Kimono Girls are not an ordinary Trainer class like Lasses. They're important game characters. I think we should consider this article as a character article, not a Trainer Class article. --Maxim 08:22, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Added Korean Name, but would like to add something else...

I added the Korean name for this class, which is "전통무용수" (Jeontongmuyongsu), or rather, "전통 무용수" (Jeontong Muyongsu), which is more akin to its Japanese name than their Western names (which all involve some combination of "Kimono" and "Girl"). Specifically, the Korean name is "Traditional Dancer". Now is there any way we can add this to the "In other languages" section, as in a third column which notes that the Korean name is "Traditional Dancer" versus some manner of "Kimono Girl"? -- Nick15 10:00, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Including Quotes for other Girls than Zuki

In HeartGold/SoulSilver, after capturing/defeating Ho-Oh, the Kimono Girls excluding Zuki says:

"You have done a great job. Yet, to think this is but one small step for the one who they call the Legendary Trainer… Say hello to Professor Elm for us."

Now, how can I include this in the article? Do I have to copy the quote in every girl's section? -- Charizard_fan 04:53, 29 February 2016
