Alakazam (Japanese: フーディン Foodin) is a Psychic-type Stage 2 Pokémon card. It is part of the Expedition Base Set.
Card text
Once during your turn, instead of Alakazam's normal attack, you may choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon's attacks. Alakazam copies that attack including its Energy costs and anything else required in order to use that attack, such as discarding Energy cards. (No matter what type that Pokémon is, Alakazam's type is still Psychic.) This power can't be used if Alakazam is affected by a Special Condition.
If Alakazam and the Defending Pokémon don't have the same number of Energy cards attached to them, this attack's base damage is 20 instead of 80.

Release information
This card was included as a Holofoil and Non Holofoil card in the Expedition Base Set, first released in the Japanese Base Expansion Pack. It was also released in booster boxes of the English expansion as a Reverse Holo Jumbo Box Topper. The italicized text in the Poké-Power should stop at the closing parenthesis, but instead continues for the rest of the power's text. Additionally, Alakazam's type is spelled out "Psychic" instead of using the symbol.
The Non Holo print was one of seven test cards made by Wizards of the Coast for reviewing the changes to card layout. These prints have "For Position Only" printed on the illustration in white, "Medium" printed below the e-Reader symbol, a long e-Reader data strip, no "ID:" before the card ID, and a Wizards copyright instead of Nintendo. This print has Poké-Power's name in blue, like had previously been used for Pokémon Powers on Psychic-type cards. The text "PokéPower:" is also between the Poké-Power graphic and the name.
