Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Scarlet & Violet expansion, first released in the Japanese Scarlet ex expansion. The Regular print features artwork by AKIRA EGAWA, while the Full Art illustration rare print features artwork by nagimiso. A Line Holofoil version of the Regular card was included in the Paldea Evolved Premium Checklane Blisters, released on June 9, 2023. The Regular print was also reprinted in the Japanese Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex and Shiny Treasure ex subset, the latter alongside a new print with artwork by Atsushi Furusawa featuring the Shiny version of Armarouge. Both of these prints were subsequently released outside Asia in the special Paldean Fates expansion.

Origin
Fire Off's Japanese name may be a reference to hi okuri, literally seeing off the sun, an observance kigo traditionally associated with the vernal equinox in Japan. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.
