Brock's Mining Crew (TCG)

Brock's Mining Crew is a type deck found in the Gym Challenge Strategy Guide. The deck is classified in the guide as an easy-to-build deck as it contains few rare cards, with the aim that a player of any age or skill level could complete it.

Description

This deck lets you go digging with Brock's crew of Fighting Pokémon. When they're not down in the mines, these hard-working Pokémon hang out in the Pewter City Gym. The Pewter City Gym Stadium card lets all of Brock's Pokémon ignore Resistance, which is a good thing because a lot of Pokémon have Resistance to Fighting Pokémon.

The basic idea behind the "Brock's Mining Crew" deck is to hit your opponent hard and fast with Brock's Pokémon. Bill and Professor Oak give you the card-drawing to find your Pokémon and Energy, and Brock's Training Method lets you get any Pokémon in your deck (they're all Brock's Pokémon).

Use PlusPower to give some of your attacks a surprise kick. This works best when PlusPower adds just enough damage to Knock Out a Pokémon that your opponent thought would last another turn. The "Brock's Mining Crew" deck is good for a new Pokémon player because most of the cards in it are simple and easy to use, but the deck is still fun to use.
