Category talk:Episodes in which a Champion appears

Considering recent events...

So, would this list just begin counting every new episode from the main series in the event that Ash remains the protagonist going forward? I'm a bit concerned that it might start getting a bit big in the years to come if that's the case. Gengarzilla! 19:02, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

We really need to work out how to define the term Champion. While Ash is the Champion of the Alola League, I don't consider him to be a Pokémon Champion in the same way Cynthia or Lance are (although his victory over Kukui could be argued as proof he is, I admit). Thing is, this category hasn't counted episodes starring league winners before, even those aired after they've won (case in point being Alain, who appeared in several episodes after winning the Kalos League but those episodes aren't counted at all). Flashback/fantasy/photo appearances

Are these type of appearances supposed to count for this category? There are a sizable amount of those episodes in this category, but there are also plenty of episodes that are missing as well... so there doesn't really seem to be a consensus for this.

Personally, I think that only actual physical appearances should count. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 15:17, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
