Soleil

Soleil (Japanese: ハルヒ Haruhi) is a character of the day who appeared in Night and Day, You are the Ones!. She is the granddaughter of Helia and a descendant of Sorin, the first liege of Eclipse Castle. Helia was the present day liege, until she decided to pass down the title to Soleil. Soleil is a doppelgänger of Chloe.

Soleil first appeared near a sundial alongside her Espeon and Umbreon when her Espeon sensed Chloe's Eevee was about to fall off a cliff. Once Espeon saved Eevee, Soleil met Chloe and was surprised that they looked alike. After meeting up with Ash and Goh, Soleil swapped clothes with Chloe and met up with Heila.

Soleil went to become the liege of Eclipse Castle, only for the ceremony to be interrupted by Ilunas, who had unknowingly kidnapped Chloe instead of Soleil. Soleil battled Ilunas alongside Chloe and was able to defeat him. Soleil subsequently became liege of Eclipse Castle, but upon learning of Soleil's identity, convinced him to change his ways and have him assist her in her duties as liege.

She reappeared in flashbacks in The Gates of Warp!, Reuniting for the First Time!, and Infinite Possibilities!.

In Heroes Unite!, Soleil, Espeon, and Umbreon reappeared in a fantasy.

Soleil's Espeon and Umbreon

Espeon and Umbreon are Soleil's only known Pokémon. Soleil first had them as Eevee, where her female Eevee evolved into Espeon after she tripped and fell on top of her during the day. The following night, her male Eevee evolved into Umbreon battling a Crobat at night while protecting Soleil and Espeon.

In the present, Espeon rescued Chloe's Eevee from falling off a cliff. Espeon and Umbreon were used to battle Ilunas's Pokémon alongside Eevee and were able to take them down.

As confirmed by gender differences as an Eevee, Espeon is confirmed to be female, while Umbreon is confirmed to be male.

They reappeared in flashbacks in Reuniting for the First Time! and Infinite Possibilities!.

In Heroes Unite!, Espeon and Umbreon reappeared in a fantasy alongside Soleil.

Espeon's known moves are Psychic, Wish, and Reflect.
Umbreon's known moves are Swift, Snarl, and Dark Pulse.

Trivia

  • In the Japanese version, Soleil speaks using the Kansai dialect.
  • In the Japanese version, Soleil mentions how her and Chloe's names sound similar, as both of them have "haru" in their names. This line is kept in the English dub, possibly referring to how both Chloe and Soleil begin with a long o-sound, followed by another long vowel sound (e and a, respectively).
