Hirotaka Suzuoki (Japanese: 鈴置洋孝 Suzuoki Hirotaka) was a Japanese voice actor for the Pokémon anime. Suzuoki joined the cast of Pokémon at the beginning of the show, voicing Team Rocket's boss, Giovanni. This was his primary role on the series up until his death in 2006.
Biography
Suzuoki was born on March 6, 1950. After graduating from Tokyo Keizai University, he landed his first anime role in Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3. He continued working as a voice actor until July 2006, when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He passed away about a month later, on August 6, 2006. He was 56 years old.
