Junko Takeuchi (Japanese: 竹内順子 Takeuchi Junko) is a Japanese voice actress for the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Takeuchi was born on April 5, 1972, in Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As an adult, she became a voice actress and came to be commonly cast as young, male characters with quirky and goofy personalities. She first voiced Doyle, a character of the day who appeared in Pokémon the Series: Black & White of the Pokémon anime. Then, Takeuchi voiced Red, the protagonist of the Pokémon Origins miniseries. She also voiced a young Baraz in Hoopa — The Mischief Pokémon. In Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Takeuchi gained her most notable role as Hapu, one of island kahunas. Takeuchi is affiliated with Ogipro The Next Co. Inc. Takeuchi also won the Kids Family Award during the 5th Seiyu Awards.
