List of Battle Tower Trainers in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl
This is a list of standard Pokémon Trainers that can be encountered for all challenges at the Battle Tower in Diamond and Pearl. Each Trainer will use three Pokémon for Single Battles, four for Double Battles, and two for Multi Battles, randomly selected from a Trainer-specific set list. Every Pokémon used will have randomly-determined genders and Abilities, but factors used to calculate base stats (EVs, IVs, and Nature) are fixed.
The Battle Tower in Pokémon Platinum and HeartGold, and SoulSilver, located in the Battle Frontier, uses an updated database of Trainers and their respective Pokémon.
Trainers in the Battle Tower use Pokémon with fixed, uniform IVs across all stats.
- Trainers 1 to 100 use Pokémon with 0 IVs
- Trainers 101 to 120 use Pokémon with 4 IVs
- Trainers 121 to 140 use Pokémon with 8 IVs
- Trainers 141 to 160 use Pokémon with 12 IVs
- Trainers 161 to 180 use Pokémon with 16 IVs
- Trainers 181 to 200 use Pokémon with 16 IVs
- Trainers 221 to 300 use Pokémon with 31 IVs
List of Trainers
A checkmark indicates which battles an NPC Trainer may appear in during the player's consecutive battle streak. Checkmarks with a gold background indicate Trainers that only appear during the seventh battle of that challenge. Battles number 21 and 49 in Single Battles are exceptions, in which these Trainers will not appear at all, and Tower Tycoon Palmer is battled instead.
