In Japan, this card was one of two unnumbered XY-P Promotional cards awarded to players who accumulated 6 Play Points by participating in various events held as part of the Kamex Mega Battle in 2016. Points could be earned in either of the two main events, the Kamex Mega Battle or the Victory Battle, or at eligible side events, including the Kangaskhan Tag Battle, the Sylveon Girls Battle, the 3 on 3 Battle, the Knockout Battle, or at the Organizer's Area. 2 Play Points were awarded for participating in each of the eligible events. A further 3 Play Points were awarded for an individual win in the 3 on 3 Battle, with a bonus 3 Play Points awarded if a team managed 3 consecutive wins. 2 Play Points were awarded for each win in the Knockout Battle. 5 Play Points were also awarded to those who placed first in the Organizer's Area Mini Tournament, as well as 4 Play Points to those who placed second, and 3 Play Points to those who placed third.

The Kamex Mega Battle was held at five locations across Japan: at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 5, 2016; at Intex Osaka, Osaka on May 15, 2016; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on May 21 and 22, 2016; and at the West Japan General Exhibition Center, Kitakyushu on May 29, 2016.
