History
Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl
Purugly debuted in Double Team Turnover! during Team Galactic's stealing operation in the Celestic Town Historical Research Center. It battled Ash, Dawn, and Cynthia for the Lustrous Orb and proved itself to be very powerful.
In Steeling Peace of Mind! and Saving the World From Ruins!, Purugly was once again by Mars's side during her operation on Iron Island to scan Mt. Coronet for the location of the Spear Pillar. It battled and defeated Meowth.
In The Needs of the Three!, Purugly was used to help capture Mesprit and Uxie. Later, in The Battle Finale of Legend!, it was used to ward off Ash and his friends before being defeated by Pikachu. At the conclusion of the villainous team's plans, Team Galactic was arrested.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
In The Arceus Chronicles (Part 2), Purugly was sent out to fight Ash and his friends. It had a brief battle with Ash's Pikachu before going up against Brock's Blissey. Purugly was unable to land a single hit before Cynthia showed up and drove them off. They were later captured and tied up by her Roserade's Power Whip.

She was first seen in Belligerent Bronzor, where she was used to cut the windmill that Mars had stolen so that they can use it to fly away. She was later used Purugly to battle Diamond. She easily defeated Fantina's Drifblim that Diamond was riding on.
In Double Trouble with Dialga and Palkia I, Purugly battled Crasher Wake and Gardenia's Pokémon on the Spear Pillar. She was last seen lying next to her master, defeated.

Purugly is Mars's main Pokémon. It was first used in a Tag Battle against Jun and Hareta. Mars gained the upper hand when it turned out the power. However, Shinx's Spark put the power back on which threw Purugly off guard, defeating it. Purugly then appeared in Deoxys, The Phantom Pokémon! (Part 2), in which it was easily defeated by Deoxys.
