These are the Move Reminder's quotes in the Pokémon games.
In the core series
Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
- When the player speaks to him
- "I'm the Move Tutor. I know all the moves that Pokémon learn - every one of them - and I can teach Pokémon those moves. I can teach a move to a Pokémon of yours if you'd like. I'll do it for a Heart Scale. I'm collecting those now."
- If the player has a Heart Scale
- "Oh! That's it! That's an honest to goodness Heart Scale! Let me guess, you want me to teach a move?"
- Yes: "Which Pokémon needs tutoring?"
- If the selected Pokémon cannot be taught a move
- "Sorry… It doesn't appear as if I have any move I can teach that Pokémon." (Returns to previous question.)
- If the selected Pokémon can be taught a move
- "Which move should I teach?"
- Yes: "Which Pokémon needs tutoring?"
- The last thing he always says
- "If your Pokémon need to learn a move, come back with a Heart Scale."
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen
- When the player first speaks to him after entering his house
- "I'm the Pokémon Move Maniac. I know every single move that Pokémon learn growing up. I'm also a mushroom maniac. Bring me two TinyMushrooms, or one Big Mushroom. If you do that for me, I'll teach a move to one Pokémon."
- If the player has enough of either item
- "Sniff, sniff… Hm! You smell of Mushrooms! Do you want me to teach a move to a Pokémon of yours?"
- Yes: "Which Pokémon needs tutoring?"
- If the selected Pokémon cannot be taught a move
- "Sorry… It doesn't appear as if I have a move I can teach that Pokémon." (Returns to previous question.)

- "Which move should I teach?"

- If player has enough of both items after teaching a move

- "Everyone calls me Madam Memorial. I know every move that a Pokémon learns as it grows, you see. I can also help your Pokémon remember any of those moves that it has let go in the past. I'll have your Pokémon recover their lost moves in exchange for Heart Scales, if you have any."
- If the player has a Heart Scale
- "Would you like to remind your Pokémon of a long-forgotten move?"
- No: "If there's a move you'd like one of your Pokémon to remember, bring me a Heart Scale!"
- Yes: "Which Pokémon is it?"

In the side series
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
- "Be it a move that was never learned, or a move once learned and forgotten, if moves are what Pokémon need, I'm the man! All it takes are some Poké Coupons for me, the Move Teacher, to teach your Pokémon those moves you want and a whole lot more! So, are there any Pokémon that want to learn a new move or two?"
