Release information
This disk could be obtained by successfully capturing Pikachu while playing either the Let's Begin Ga-Olé! Course or the Zeraora Course, which were updated on consoles starting December 13, 2018. The courses became unavailable to play after February 13, 2019. As a tie in with the Pokémon anime, the illustration features Ash and his Pikachu as well as the Japanese Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon logo. A promotional transparent purple lamé version of this disk was 1 in a set of 3 disks available as part of a lottery announced following the Japanese broadcast of We Know Where You're Going, Eevee! on December 2, 2018. The application period was open until December 9, 2018. This promotion was tied to the celebration of the anime TV debut of Zeraora in Battling the Beast Within!. Other disks in the set comprised transparent purple lamé versions of Zeraora and Mimikyu. Only 20 sets were distributed as part of the lottery, which winners received in late February 2019.

Trivia
Origin
This Pikachu is based on Ash's Pikachu as he appears in the anime's Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. Thunderbolt and 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt are both moves that Pikachu can use in the anime and ones it can learn in the games, the latter by equipping the appropriate Z-Crystal.
