In 2009, two different types of Pokémon X-Ray Machines were manufactured by Shimadzu Corporation for use in Japan.[1][2] The first was a mobile unit, while the second was a stationary unit.

Mobile Unit

The mobile unit was first announced on April 15, 2009. Shimadzu planned to only make 30 of these units for all of Japan. The machine is decorated with images of Pikachu, Piplup, Pachirisu, Croagunk, Chimchar, and Leafeon, along with Poké Balls for the two bigger wheels.

Stationary Unit

The stationary unit was first announced on July 13, 2009. It is a variant of Shimadzu's X'sy Pro machines, and features the likes of Pikachu, Cherubi, Turtwig, Pachirisu, Chimchar, Piplup, Bellossom, and Teddiursa.
