Release information

Diamond & Pearl Series

This card was included in the Mysterious Treasures expansion with artwork by Ryo Ueda, first released in the Japanese Secret of the Lakes expansion. It was reprinted in the Japanese Rampardos the Attacker Half Deck, as well as the English Lucario Half Deck of the Diamond & Pearl Trainer Kit. It was reprinted again in the Majestic Dawn expansion.

Sword & Shield Series

Quick Ball was later reclassified as an Item card during the Sword & Shield Series and was first released in the Japanese V Starter Set Grass and V Starter Set Fighting with new artwork by sadaji and a new effect. An errata was issued for all prints of Quick Ball released prior, matching their effect with the effect on this print.[1]

The English print was first released in the Sword & Shield expansion, along with a Full Art Secret card featuring artwork by the same illustrator. The Sword & Shield prints originate from the Japanese Shield expansion. In Japan, the Sword & Shield Regular print was reprinted in the Sword & Shield Premium Trainer Box, in the Charizard & Grimmsnarl VMAX Starter Sets, in three of the nine V Starter Decks, in the Shiny Star V subset, in the Venusaur & Blastoise VMAX Starter Sets, in a second version of the Charizard VMAX Starter Set from the VMAX Battle Triple Starter Set, and in the Single Strike & Rapid Strike Premium Trainer Boxes. Parallel Holofoil versions of the Regular print were given to participants at League Cups during the Sword & Shield Season (February - April 2020). The League Cup logo is in the bottom right corner of the artwork. A gold foil stamped "Staff" version was also given to those overseeing the events.

It was reprinted with different artwork once again by Ryo Ueda in the Fusion Strike expansion, first released as a Holofoil card in both of the Japanese High-Class Decks. In Japan, the Sword & Shield Regular print was reprinted again in the Zacian & Zamazenta vs Eternatus Special Deck Set and the VSTAR Premium Trainer Box. Non Holofoil prints of the Fusion Strike print were released in both of the Japanese VSTAR Starter Sets.
