Rie Tanaka (Japanese: 田中理恵 Tanaka Rie) is a Japanese voice actress for the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Tanaka was born on January 3, 1979 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan, and became a voice actress and singer as an adult. She provided her voice for the Pokémon anime during Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire and Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl, voicing Pokémon Coordinator Solidad and Team Galactic Commander Mars, respectively. Tanaka was once married to voice actor Kōichi Yamadera, but the two divorced in August 4, 2018.
