Talk:Affection

Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee appears to have the Affection effects from playing with your partner Pokemon, although there's no clear indication of the Affection level. Further, you can only play with your partner, but the Affection effects seem to extend to the other members of your party.

It's also unclear to me whether playing with your partner is what triggers the availability of Pika Powpow/Veevee Volley. Lithl (talk) 02:10, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Sword/Shield battle quotes

The Sword and Shield battle quotes for affection-related actions are missing. I may be able to complete some of them in the next days, but if someone has them ready (e.g. on footage), it would be nice if it can be completed. It's also possible that the previous gen quotes are carried over. --Kleinesfilmröllchen (talk) 21:04, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

About LGPE and Affection-turned-Friendship

> From Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! onward, benefits that would have been gained from high affection are instead gained by Pokémon with high friendship. Affection is no longer present, and has been amalgamated with friendship.

Is there more specific information about this, like what amount of friendship triggers which effects, the text strings InGame that appear for each effect and such? Lunos (talk) 18:36, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Judging by how Game Freak used to handle friendship stages, I'm guessing it's a straightforward passage where "Affection Level 4" is "Friendship equal or higher than 150", maybe? - unsigned comment from Lunos (talkcontribs)
