Name meaning

"Akebi" (Japanese) refers to the Akebia genus -- more specifically, to the chocolate vine. "Ancolie" (French) refers to l'ancolie commune, the French name of Aquilegia vulgaris, the common columbine. (It may also refer to the fabricated nymph of the same name in Max Ernst's 1947 painting Im Garten der Nymphe Ancolie.) "Amapola" (Spanish) is a common name for the poppy.

The Italian refers to the Japanese; the German refers to the English (or vice-versa). All I'm finding for "Aliana" thus far is different moth species, which doesn't seem to fit with the others. Arpha (talk) 20:53, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
