Move Request

I see a request to move the page to Shiny Celebi, I know a Celebi appears in Super Mystery Dungeon, as far as I can recall, only this shiny Celebi appeared in this game, am I correct?--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 23:34, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

I think the Shiny addition to the title just serves as an additional barrier to get to this page. Is it known in the game as 'Shiny Celebi' like how Red Gyarados or Black Rayquaza are? It's not really necessary to add, in my opinion. ^Maverick_Nate 23:41, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

It's never acknowledged in-game that this Celebi is any different than a normal Celebi, as far as I can recall. Non-Shiny Celebi can be encountered in Explorers, but it's solely for gameplay purposes and has no role in the story. There is a non-Shiny Celebi that appears in the plot of Super Mystery Dungeon, but the dabtag for this page is already specific enough that it's clearly not referring to the one in Super Mystery Dungeon. The only point of confusion that I see from the current title is the fact {{MDcharacters}} links to this page in the Rescue Team and Super sections, but that's an issue with the template, not this page's title. My opinion is also that this page is already sufficiently disambiguated from any other notable Celebi character. This character is also never directly acknowledged as being shiny, but even if it were it seems inconsistent with pages on other notable shiny Pokémon to specifically title it as such; e.g. we don't title notable anime shinies as "[character's] Shiny [Pokémon]". The most I could see would be possibly a redirect from "Shiny Celebi" akin to what we have for Red Gyarados. Driftin Soul (talk) 02:25, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

That Celebi doesn't currently have its own page and I don't think it really needs one; its role in the movie is incredibly minor. The most significant thing about it is the fact that it appeared a bunch in other media to promote the movie. I wouldn't say it's the search priority over this shiny Celebi (and even if it was, I have no idea where we would link people to for information about it).
