Speculation
I thought about it after seeing this picture, but is it possible that Dragonair evolved off-screen in Dragonite and that the Dragonite in this picture is actually Clair's? The other Dragonite is surely Iris's Dragonite.

- That's speculation, which isn't allowed on Bulbapedia. It could just be the case that she owns a Dragonite besides her Dragonair. We'll have to wait for more information about the episode she appears in to get confirmation. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:33, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

I have an extremly minor edit request, which is still worth it in some way. As this page is still protected, could a staff member kindly change Fires of a Red-Hot Reunion! into The Fires of a Red-Hot Reunion!. Mixup?
I'm pretty certain that the Dragonite Clair has with her in A Pokémon of a Different Color! is supposed to be the one from the Dragon Holy Land from Fangs for Nothin' and Great Bowls of Fire!, rather than her evolved Dragonair. She mentions Ash having helped calm it down last time and it has the same affection for flowers (as Ash also pointed out), with nothing in the episode implying that it was the same Pokémon as her Dragonair. Sort of the same scenario as people (the dubbers included) assuming Lenora's Herdier was her evolved Lillipup when it was supposed to be a separate individual. Unless the Japanese version of the episode stated otherwise, both this article and Clair's own need some changing. Hyper Turtwig (talk) 07:49, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- Reviving this old topic. I happened to watch a subbed version of this episode and Ash says the exact same thing as the dub. I see that it's already mentioned on the episode page as a dub error but it's possible that something has been overlooked.
- Now, I'm not fluent in Japanese so I can't guarantee that the subs are correct. However I know enough to tell that this Dragnoite was never mentioned to be evolved from Clair's Dragonair. So even if it isn't the DHL Dragonite, this page at the very least should be moved back to Clair's Dragonair until proven otherwise. Like Lenora's Herdier. Unless there is something else that says it evolved from Dragonair. I'm just saying there isn't evidence present in the episode.
